Fortune noted earlier today that Apple has finally caught up with iPad 2 demand this weekend with shipping times down to 1-3 business days. This comes over 4 months since the iPad 2 was originally launched in March.

Shortly after its launch, the iPad 2 had 4-5 week delays in availability. Lines were common at many stores for months after the launch. Just last week, Apple had already made steady improvements in availability by dropping ship times down to 3-5 days for the first time since launch.

So just now catching up on demand. Supposedly releasing a new/upgraded iPad in 2 months. Why?

I asked if Ipads were still in high demand and my question was completely ignored like it was a dumb question. I know even still the demand is high.

Pardon my drama, but why is there any demand for any tablet? IMO they all suck, especially the iPad. A device targeted for the internet without the most common internet plugin is just a waste of time.

My girlfriend has one, she uses it for note-taking, movies, games, photo's, and music. In fact the only thing she rarely uses it for is internet.

I use one for video presentations AND note taking. But I've seen them get more hype than netbooks, and that lead to Best Buy reduce their netbook stock

So many answers, so not worth the time...

Now I remember why I don't leave comments. Because a vast majority of Mac rumors are blind Apple fanboys.

Just curious...have you picked a number yet: how big does this market have to get before cognitive dissonance undermines your belief?

Adobe Flash. Yes, I hate Flash player, but you gotta face the fact that it's here to stay.

Nothing is here to stay. In the year 4000, I'm sure there won't be a mention of Apple in Wikipedia.

Should I put the colon, dash and parenthesis that shows I'm being silly this time?

Everyone's a fanboy of something. Ask the same question on a forum dedicated to other manufacturer's tablets and you'll get the same type of answers. It's only natural and there's nothing wrong with it.

That you don't understand what all the hubbub is all about surrounding tablets is alright also. It simply means that you haven't found a meaningful need for one or can't justify it over other alternatives.

As for the iPad's inability to manipulate flash; it's not as bad as you might think. I thought it would be terrible until I used one and visited my favorite sites. What I found is that most of the ads are gone. Which is pretty cool. However, for sites that are flash heavy, there is usually a free app for that site which tends to be better than the site itself.

BTW, I don't own an iPad yet. I'm rarely an early adopter of tech. But now that the market has matured the time is coming. Just waiting to see if the rumors for a higher resolution iPad will pan out.

So what exactly are you doing here ? don't waste our time. People like you start a fight of words by putting such lame comments. You enjoy it don't you ?

Because I like Apple computers and their products. But I don't have to like everything about Apple. Right?

Sigh, why people let themselves get trolled so easily is beyond me.

Anyway, I wonder how many A5s are going to the new iPhone, relatively speaking.

What does being a fan of Apple have to do with your original claim against tablets in general, which apparently "all suck"? The way you call out Apple fans for disagreeing with your blanket statement regarding tablets suggests that you have your share of bias and reservations against Apple fans, which you claim to be.

What wait???

I ordered a white one off the apple site and had it engraved. It took 5 days to get it. The website warned of 3 weeks before order would be filled.

I picked up a dozen for my employer last week...just called the local Apple store, drove over a hour later...and I was on my way...
