I’ve not been able to get Airplay to work on the 14.5 beta . Tried both from my iPhone and a iPad 😞

Doesn’t work for me either. Tried it on 2 separate LG TVs with airplay 2. iPhone 12 and iPad still only display the sound no video.

Start AirPlay from within the Fitness app, don’t do it from control center, otherwise it won’t work. See my image below.

When selecting it within the app the airplay 2 TVs don’t show up. I have 2 of them same Wi-Fi and they don’t show. But they do show if I want to mirror to them from the phone or iPad outside of the fitness app

I guess you’ll then have to wait and see if a future beta or the final release fixes that. Also make sure those tvs actually do support Airplay 2. Control Center finds devices compatible with both Airplay 1 and 2. Fitness app would only find AirPlay 2 devices (proof: the Fitness app doesn’t see my 3rd gen apple tv only compatible with Airplay 1, control center does see it).

I thought that might be the issue also but reading online c9 and Cx LG TVs both say it’s airplay 2. And I’ve checked and both have the latest version so I guess I will have to wait and see if anyone can get that to work with a tv. When I do what you suggested it shows my Apple TV 4K and that’s it for devices.

Feb 8th.
Installed iOS 14.5 beta and WatchOS 7.4 beta - still no Fitness+ support for Airplay 2.
I messaged Apple support and they said cannot use Airplay 2 enabled TVs
I have a 2019 LG OLED65C9PLA tv
Cross! maybe it will appear in later betas.....

I updated my Apple Watch 6, iPhone SE 2020, and iPad Pro 10.5 to the latest OS Betas, and could not see the video for Fitness + on my Roku Ultra or LG TV, both with Airplay 2. Audio works, video does not. It's the same as it was before updating to the Betas.

The second 14.5 Beta now allows Fitness+ to be displayed from both my iPhone SE 2020 and iPad Pro 10.5 via Roku Ultra, LG TV, and 3rd gen Apple TV.

I had already read about the 3rd gen Apple TV now working on another thread. It looks like they’re adding support for airplay 1 too, not just AirPlay 2 as the iOS/iPadOS 14.5 release notes said, because the 3rd gen apple tv only supports Airplay 1.
