When will the 188 other countries in the world have access to this? Or will it be like News+, Siri on AppleTV and many other services that still can't be used in most of Europe f.e.?

When language support in real time and proper context can be done. This looks like an area where Microsoft or Google with their real-time translation can strike a partnership OR compete.

This news comes as Peleton is rolling back GymKit Support will only end up in either:
Apple looking towards and locking in other partners,
the industry working towards a more universal spec for OS agnostic implementation.

We'll see.

I'd love to see workouts specific to wheelchair users like only from a seated position
This is one that wouldn't be geared towards me, but I definitely would like to see workouts like this! Apple has done a good job making sure the watch itself is useful to wheelchair users, so I could see this being there somewhere down the line!

My wife got an Apple Watch just to do Apple Fitness but we found out Apple fitness is a unique Apple service so I am warning others.

Unlike other Apple services where you can have an Apple ID that does purchases and an Apple ID that does other stuff fitness requires everything be the same. We have an Apple ID for purchases that predates phones and watches. When we got phones and watches for a variety of reasons we got individual Apple IDs but still use the shared ID for purchases. Apple 100% supports this model. With everything except Apple Fitness.

Too late to return the watch but what a mess. The work around would be to buy family fitness plan but that still would not solve some problems (iPad and Apple TV would have to be assigned to wife Apple ID instead of family Apple ID). Big mess from my point of view.

The peloton app works great.

It definitely is a mess. I don’t know what the specific problem is with Fitness+ but Apple should definitely allow to merge Apple ID’s. I also have two and it’s very annoying.

I understand the first 2 but I thought the strength workouts are already pretty "beginner" friendly as is.
True. Need longer strength workouts for specific body parts. Right now, I think an "upper body" strength workout is just 20 min. It is good for what it is... but definitely need pro and pro max versions for pulling in serious workout nuts.

I recommend workout for advanced levels / athletes next
I agree. I've really enjoyed Apple Fitness+, but I'd like to see more advanced level classes, especially in the strength training. It's time consuming to sort through the classes and read the descriptions. I'd like to be able to sort by body area focus and I'd like to see some focused on heavier weights. I do like that they suggest weights and the ones they are using, but I find I could do more more by the end of the work.

Overall I am very happy with the service and look forward to how they continue to expand it.

Maybe I'm missing them somewhere but I'd like to have an intro to yoga. They keep saying these poses and I have to keep looking up to see what the heck they are talking about.

if you do the beginners yoga classes, and then the first few classes from each instructor, they do explain things more.

The ability to use Fitness+ on an iPad that's not tied to my Apple ID would be nice.

Just subscribe to a YouTube Fitness channel and call it a day bruh. It's Free for the same stuff

I have been doing the Fitness+ workouts and am liking them so far. The HIIT workouts really get the heart racing. And the strength workouts are pretty well paced too. Yoga is good too. Core section is pretty weak imo.

But the two features I definitely want are:
1. Ability to make workout calendars for 3-4 weeks.
2. Some tags or workout names or something so I can plan my workout. For e.g. strength workouts are for which muscles, does the HIIT workout have any floor moves.

I don't have peloton, but i am comparing this against beachbody workouts. Workout for workout I have to say Beachbody has the edge. But the smaller things like integration with apple watch and music does provide a good experience on Fitness+

Hard same. I've been doing the Fitness+ workouts since December, and I've progressed from a writhing puddle after a single 10 minute workout to 2 x 30 minute workouts six days a week. And I completely agree there needs to be more.

I would love to see strength exercise videos classified into whole body, upper body, and lower body. You're supposed to let one part of your body rest a day between workouts, so I'd love to be able to do chest/back/arms one day, legs/lower body the next.

I'd love it if you could favorite a workout. There are a couple that I just freaking love (Kim's HIIT and Kyle's strength) but I have to hunt for them. And there needs to be MORE of them. I don't want to do two x 20minute HIIT workouts or 1 x 10minute, 1 x 20 minute, I want to do a single 30 minute workout.

And I know this is more for the older videos than more recent, but I've noticed as I dig through some of the older workouts from November, etc that they don't have nearly as much interaction, prompting, or instruction as the new ones. One I did this morning (Bakari's 30 minute HIIT from November) he barely talked about modifications, and a lot of the time you had to remember what was next as he just flew into the next exercise. I end up missing some and starting after the trainers.

But damn - this dropped at JUST the right time! I won't go to a gym right now because of the anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers, but drop an hour into a couple Fitness+ workouts in my living room? Yes!

They would have to duplicate all this X 188 countries and multiple languages. Not a small task to accomplish.

Well they could just allow access in all countries for people who speak/understand English (which is quite a lot). The translations can be secondary to actual access.

Well I for one do not want to hear it in norwegian since I am not actually norwegian. Just living here.

I am not against localization but English is fairly universal today. If they did News in only slovakian, urdu and farsi I would not care since I wouldn’t be able to read it anyway. But it’s english everywhere and I can’t even pay for it. And it’s not like they really care that much anyway. They add titles to iTunes with danish description in norway, yet I have sat all my devices to english.

I understand this is supposed to be simple and accessible, but I’d like some workouts with other equipment, too. That may be with Apple Fitness++, though!
I would love to see some BodyBlade workouts on Apple Fitness+. That manufacturer has a half-dozen good workouts on their site (and a few more on YouTube), but I'd love to see Apple develop some new material. This device has been a godsend during the pandemic for at-home workouts.

Looking forward to trying the “older version” as I struggled a bit to get going at the beginner level. My 70 year old body and 300lbs need all the help I can get!!

But you won’t catch me watching Hanoi Jane!! Cavorting for the camera with North Vietnamese antiaircraft gunners while the US aircrews in the “Hanoi Hilton” are being tortured fits my definition of a traitor.

I was wondering when they were going to use Betina’s pregnancy for a specific pregnancy workout! These are great, im going to get my mother to do the older adults Molly workouts, I love her yoga flows and mindful cool downs
I have loved both Molly’s workouts and Belinda’s. Given how far along she is, I think it is great they are doing to do some workouts focused on pregnancy.

I have not done any of the cycling, treadmill or rowing ones, but have enjoyed all the others. I have liked the core, but everyone will react differently.
But the two features I definitely want are:
1. Ability to make workout calendars for 3-4 weeks.
I want it to offer me an actual program, based on a fitness test I do. I would love to be able to specify a goal (build muscle, increase endurance, improve flexibility, etc.) and let it integrate that into a complete course.
2. Some tags or workout names or something so I can plan my workout. For e.g. strength workouts are for which muscles, does the HIIT workout have any floor moves.
This would be great, as would being able to rate a difficulty post workout (as well as how well I liked it) to help it customize my program. The other part I would like is the ability to see a full list of all the moves in the program and the ability to have them demonstrated with graphics and the ability to switch views (e.g. “I want to see this one from the side”).

The thing I like best is the 3 trainer approach, making it easy to do an easier version on one or two exercises that are feeling too hard during a workout. I also love the production value of the programs and so far have really enjoyed the instructors.
