Anyone have an issue with alarms randomly enabling themselves? Had an early morning Saturday that became even earlier when my 5 AM alarm also enabled a 2:30 AM alarm.

I'm in a weird situation with my iPhone 15Pro this morning, running the prior 26.1 beta.
I use a magsafe stand, so standby is in use. Last night, my watch died in the middle of the night.
Alarm time hits, which would usually buzz on my wrist... up to the phone to make some noise, and it did... nothing but display the alarm. No sound. Silent mode is disabled, so I have no idea what's going on.

If I have a direct USB-C connection to the phone, then voila... Why is the standby mode with Magsafe so... broken since it was introduced a few years ago? I still don't understand why apps, including Apple ones like calendar are limited to refreshing every 15 minutes while in that mode.

I literally sent Apple feedback requesting slide to stop. From my perspective, they couldn't possible care more.
I suggested the same. I have never had a problem with alarms until the UI change. In fact, I usually use the side button for snooze, but the new buttons are so large that they are easily tapped when reaching for the phone. This is a perfect change and shows Apple is listening to consumer feedback!

I hope the same change comes to Apple Watch.

Ugh, I was finally happy with it! After years of fumbling half asleep to hit the tiny little stop button (because I do not snooze) they made it huge and it was great. Now I’ll need to slide which is a pain in the butt when my phone is sitting sideways on a wireless charger a foot away from me.

Can they just let us choose? I would MUCH prefer how it is in 26.0

The side button used to snooze the alarm but looks like they took this away in iOS 26 and instead it mutes the alarm but neither snoozes or stops the alarm now. Made me late to work as it doesn't do anything once muted until you interact with the screen again.

Does anyone use the side button to snooze the alarm in the past find this annoying?

I hate this change, at least make it an option.
I'm getting downvoted for saying this too, but what's the downside of making it an option? Customization is a good thing and my customization selections have no effect on anyone else. I am the only user of my phone and I believe that is true for just about everyone else too. Phones are not shared devices.

I used to use an old fashioned digital clock that has a big fat snooze button on top and a sliding mechanical switch to turn the alarm off. I can use either of those by tactile feel alone without opening my eyes. It worked great for decades. Having to open my eyes, locate the on-screen slider and manipulate it correctly without any tactile feedback is not a good solution, at least for waking alarms. During the day when I am awake, different story.

Can’t they just make it a setting so that both camps can be happy? Sheesh!
Apple is well known for their focus on minimalism. Apply that design philosophy to settings, and you'd probably hear some Apple executive unironically saying something along these lines: "Most users will never change the default settings... and having more options only ends up confusing them."

No, nobody actually uttered that not-an-actual-quote, so far as I know... but it really does feel like Apple doesn't believe their customer base can handle having too many options. The configuration options that we do have are mostly either out of absolute necessity or out of overwhelming customer demand. So, if you want more options, you're going to have to sign up as a beta user -- and convince as many like-minded people as you can to also sign up.

Many voices echoing a similar enough (but not completely identical!) sentiment is the only way to be heard.

Apple is cooking. Updates for the apple support app and TestFlight. Both with Liquid Glass menu and icons.

They’re fixing a problem they created - prior to iOS 26 the ‘stop’ button was small and to the bottom of the device and the ‘snooze’ button was larger and in the centre. It was quite hard to blindly stop the alarm by mistake.

To be honest this slide implementation is quite good though, it will go from ‘quite hard’ to ‘impossible’. It just had to travel through ‘ridiculously easy’ to get there
