"Easter Egg" for sure.

Anybody with common sense knows this isn't a "bug" LOL.

The issue appeared to begin after an update to Apple’s servers, said John Burkey, the founder of Wonderrush.ai, an artificial intelligence start-up, and a former member of Apple’s Siri team who is still in regular contact with the team.

But he said that it was unlikely that the data that Apple has collected for its artificial intelligence offerings was causing the problem, and the word correcting itself was likely an indication that the issue was not just technical. Instead, he said, there was probably software code somewhere on Apple’s systems that caused iPhones to write the word “Trump” when someone said “racist.”

“This smells like a serious prank,” Mr. Burkey said. “The only question is: Did someone slip this into the data or slip into the code?”

And this is why AI and similar products can't be blindly trusted. No matter how good it gets someone is programing it and injecting bias, either on purpose or unintentionally . All humans are flawed and will put their flaws into the programming when it comes to something like AI that appears to think for itself.
doesn‘t seem very flawed to me. There‘s even a long wikipedia-article about that.

Yeah this isn’t a bug. The leap from A to B software wise is far too long to be anything but intentional.
Comment away on the humor or validity of it all day long, but do not for one moment insult our collective intelligence by going along with Apple assertion this was due to any sort of accidental glitch.

"Trump" and "racist" do indeed have similar sounds.

Uh what? I have apparently been completely mispronouncing one of both of those words (the rare time either one comes up since I try to avoid this whole hornet’s nest.)

Not sure where that line came from. This whole post reads like April Fools.

The real question is who and how managed to insert this because I would love to know the same trick to FIX some of autocorrect’s dumber errors.

This is clearly a Google Bomb as they used to call it, but I didn’t know they could do that with iPhone autocorrect.

It’s like there are people inside X and Apple who don’t like Trump and Elon and would like to sully them…. I can’t imagine! This is how the haters helped elect them….. Keep it up please!
I know. People just don't get it. Trump is a mud monster. Continue to throw mud, he gets bigger and stronger.

Gonna be a GREAT four years for all of America.

When this story broke, Apple basically had two choices:

1) No comment
2) Blame it on a bug

Clearly, Apple spokesperson had to make crap up. If he told the truth, then his boss just committed $500B investment yesterday all for nothing.
