It needs to focus almost entirely on gaming. At least at first. The video game market is the one that is heavy into early adoption. Which is what they need for this to take off.
Your eyes or your wallet? My eyes are going to hurt badly
Can’t just buy it for $3000 though. You can have that in real life now. It's called having a healthy relationship.
It seems Apple is putting more effort on the video than the actual product at this point. Here it is the Apple headset bla-bla-bla any questions??? When will it ship??? Hey how about the new Macbook Air!!!! Any other questions???? What is the price of the new headset??? Hey lets see the new video we spent hours making.... House light dim.
Who needs love when you have 3 grand? Screw that. Can‘t just buy it for $3000 though.
Meditation, maybe… but who wants to exercise with this on their face?
Exercise is one of the more popular uses for VR's userbase right now, and this headset will be at least half as thin as most headsets.Imagine trying to workout with those massive goggles attached to your head lol
Take a trip back to the early 1980s and you can rewrite your comment as "Time and time again, it's been proven that the majority of consumers don't want and care for PCs. Apple's Lisa and Macintosh products will bomb hard."This product will BOMB HARD and send apple's stock price down with it. Time and time again it's been proven that the majority of consumers don't want and don't care for metaverse/VR/AR products. Most recently, the PSVR2 has bombed and Sony's cutting production down
Just release it as a developer kit, don't advertise it as a consumer product for the love of god
Well, given that sideloading is expected to be announced at WWDC…those apps can happenThey’re leaving so much money on the table by not focusing on porn.
Yeah, but Apple won’t get any money from those sideloading apps, just from the headset. As opposed to an Apple Porn subscription. I thought they wanted to go full on services.Well, given that sideloading is expected to be announced at WWDC…those apps can happen
I'm interested, but at this price point I'm waiting for Gen 2 at the earliest. It's just way way too much to spend on a first-generation product with Apple's track record for major leaps between Gens 1 and 2 of a product category.
Flop goes the headset. A books app? Lol.
This needs games and more games if apple wants any chance.
I laugh out loud thinking how so many people at MR think gaming is not an Apple’s strength. Such a limited vision. All the Apple strengths in one product.
I'm actually laughing out loud as I type this.
