I know this...and this is not what I am asking...I was just interested to know if others would have been surprised to see such a post removed...it is not like I did stand and tell what I say is the truth and Apple has an issue, etc...I explicitely mentioned it was speculation...but well...who cares...I will stop posting on that forum...Apple transparency and obstination not to disclose the truth is amazing...like when Jobs announced the soon release of the white iP4 and 48h later it is delayed to Dec...do not tell me Jobs did not know it upfront during the press conf...

I'm getting a bit tired of hearing this kind of nonsense. People need to think things through logically before they spew this stuff. Why on earth would Jobs deliberately lie about the release date of the white iPhone knowing that a week later it was going to be announced that it was delayed for months? What possible reason could he have for doing that? It would obviously make him and Apple look foolish and give the press fodder for more Apple bashing.

The only reasonable explanation is that something happened after the press conference that changed things. Why are some people always looking for conspiracy theories and imputing bad motives to everything Apple and Jobs say and do? "Steve Jobs insisted that they use the antennae design even tough he knew it was faulty because he wanted it to look cool. After all, Apple always chooses form over function" "they deliberately chose a faulty antennae design so they could sell bumpers" yada, yada, yada

Learn to think things though logically and you'll save yourself a lot of embarrassment and the rest of us a lot of pain. ;)

This message contains several grammar and punctuation errors that make me question the authenticity of the claimed source. We all make typos and other errors, but professional correspondences usually undergo a proof process that ensures that they meet contemporary language standards. I'm not challenging the credibility of the OP, although I am questing whether the message was generated by a credible, Apple authorized entity.

I'm no English professor, but it looks OK to me. Perhaps you can enlighten us on the grammatical/punctuation errors you see?

Just read your last sentence...I am not embarrased...and i moved on. I am not the one actualy keeping this thread alive but you do. You should move on as well instead of loosing your time...this is what i never got from people willing to give their word and at the end say it is a pain and a lost of time...funny, no? move one man...

Why on earth would Jobs deliberately lie about the release date of the.........

Are you kidding? Jobs lies through his teeth all the time. This has been confirmed time and time again.

He even lied to/gypped Wozniak out of his fair share of the first Breakout arcade game.

Don't we have the right to speculate and expose our views on a user-to-user forum, even an Apple one?
No, that's why forums like this one exist. Apple has the right to control the content posted on their property. And, frankly, I'd have deleted your post, too. You're essentially telling someone to not buy their product based on something that is extremely unlikely.

That is a real shame and is not acceptable to me...I sometimes reply, give my thoughts ont the Apple Discussion forum. Since a few days they are obviously very nervous about anyone reporting the antenna issue...
A Austrialian folk posted a message asking if he should wait to buy given the antenna issue...I posted my answer and it was deleted by Apple!!! Here is the mail i got.
PS: i am not talking about the antenna issue on that post so please do not start that discussion...i am just referring to Apple being too much conservative and privating forumers freedom of speech!!!

Thank you for your interest in Apple products. The Host team, like you, are excited to see what kinds of products Apple will be releasing in the future, however speculation or rumors are against our Apple Discussions Use Agreement. Your recent post, titled "Re: Should I wait?", was speculative in nature and has therefore been removed from Apple Discussions.
We hope that you enjoy your new purchase (when it happens) and encourage you to keep Apple Discussions in mind if you have any questions regarding your new Apple product.
Please see the Apple Discussions Use Agreement at http://discussions.apple.com/help.jspa if you have any questions.
Kind Regards,

I have heard and read...and again it is pure speculation and rumor that iPhone 4 with a built week starting 27 have a fixed antenna issue...meaning they have added a coating on the bottom left corner where the 2 antenna meet. Some report not having the antenna issue anymore? is that pure speculation and placebo effect? I can't tell...
I am in Paris and have a week 26 IP4...i never had the reception issue but it is difficult to gauge in Paris as the network here is very strong and i heard the issue with antenna reception would only occur in lower repcetions area...

People seem REALLY confused about this one, so I'll try again - Freedom of speech does not exist of any internet forum; especially one owned by a company.

It's just a case of his not RTFT. Happens all the time.

OP,

You just violated their rules and posting guidelines. No biggie. They were nice enough to explain it to you.

Not really hard to understand. The apple forums are there for support primarily, so speculation, conjecture and guessing really serve no purpose there.

That is why places like MacRumors exist, so you can just make up stuff and post it. That is not really the mission of the official Apple Forums.

I still wonder why every time someone breaks the Apple forum rules they have to repost the whole thing here.

Edit: I will add since it seems the OP wishes this thread to go away, you started it, and you gave it a salacious title that included "conspiracy''. Just because you start a thread does not mean you own it or control it. If you didn't want it to keep going on you probably should have thought a bit more before posting it in the first place.
