I just did.
Do you have any of the Creative Suite apps installed, like Premiere Pro and After Effects?
I would really love to know if they're working fine with so many changes to GPU drivers and all...
Thanks if you can check that for us
I just did.
There's a politics sub forum where a couple people might laugh at your jokes.
Thanks! Just barely made the cut again here (MBP 13" Mid-09) Phew...
There's a movie you can pick up for a buck at RedBox. It's called "Chasing Mavericks". Should explain it.
New theme is iconic Californian locales.
there's also Drift with Sam Worthington
How do you install it tho?
They ran out of cats! But I have to admit, as a German, I thought exactly the same.

I can't express how glad I am to see this.

Some reference point. Thats like comparing Apples to Zeberas.
Can someone tell me WHY its called Mavericks? The only thing that comes to mind is the Dallas Mavericks. :/

Bring Back Big Cats!! Bring Back Big Cats!!
Same... lol. Hopefully we can hit that 5 year mark safely together still running the latest software. I've only had a few minor hiccups with this machine, had to replace the trackpad and battery (a given for a 4 year old laptop). Still goin strong, don't wanna give this bad boy up. Only thing that bothers me is the lack of Apple TV compatibility with this machine and audio support with HDMI out.

Yes lol! I've been super lucky, clicking with the trackpad is a little less responsive now, but somehow I'm still on the original battery. I'm impressed!
I know the specs are getting dated but Apple should still allow us to mirror to Apple TV. I'm going to try out that AirParrot program to see if that gets the job done.
I skipped Lion after hearing about compatibility issues. Backed up all of my files, formatted and did a clean install of Mountain Lion several months after it was released (I'll let everyone else be my GM testers) & still running smooth here. Hoping for the same with Maverick.
Mac Upgraders UNITE ! LOL

It's in the seed note.
As I posted before in the other thread:
Developer Preview System Requirements:
The OS X v10.9 Developer Preview supports the following Macs:
- iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
- MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
- Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
Are you sure you're in a position to use prerelease, developer-oriented software on what is apparently your primary machine? The fact that you don't already have a backup and don't know how to install an OS are worrisome cues otherwise.
