i wish i had an apple store nearby to actually listen for myself to hear.

the apple in ears and the bose in ears, do the apples sound just as good?

No. Bose is better. The problem is that the bose costs almost 50 dollars more. In your case, it costs 94 dollars more. You are getting apple headset for free, but bose costs you 94 dollars. I don't know if it sounds 94 dollars better. Nothing beats free.

125+ item - 35 off
250 + item - 75off

375 item--125 off

i did consider the ipad...lol but already got a macbook pro.

I have to disagree. I have not yet heard a Bose headset of any type that I found to be good in terms of sound quality. They are NOT accurate. They are muddy and distorted. People have a mistaken idea that the name Bose and high prices equates to high quality. Bose is resting on its laurels. You pay for marketing. People say there is a "Mac tax," but it is nowhere near the proportion of the "Bose tax."

Don't buy the Bose if you can't hear them first. I have to say the same about the Beats. I haven't liked any of them. For reference, my current headphone setup is a set of Shure SE425K with a Fiio E7 Amp hooked to either a MBP or iPhone 4, with all my music at least 256kbps AAC. I have previously owned Shure SE420s, SE315s, SE210s, SE110s, Bose In-Ear originals, and the original Apple In Ears. I have found that accurate audio is much more rewarding to listen to than colored or muddied audio (much like the sound that Bose and Beats like to produce).

The reviews say they are amazing and if you can get the $50 discount from Apple, you could get them for $30 which is a steal! But, that depends on if Apple would give you $50 cash discount instead of things that are only in the Apple online store.

Joke's on you because there are genuine earphones if you know where to look. Just because YOU have never seen genuine headphones on eBay doesn't mean there aren't any.

Fakes are cheaply made. Fakes don't have the replaceable mesh filters. Fakes don't have working remotes (volume control, play/pause button, and mic). And lastly, fakes sound like ****. Yeah, mine don't fit any of the above criteria.

I would never buy headphones from eBay and if you are using apple headphone believe me the joke is entirely on you ;)

See if the apple shop has any shure headphone they are much better quality.

were the apple in ears any good? or atleast beter tthan the standard ipod headphones lol

The Apple in ears are terrible. The sound quality is OK but they are hard plastic that you have to shove into your ears. They never fit right and they are uncomfortable. The Bose are excellent as they sit outside the ear and let you hear external sounds as well (phone, doorbell etc.). Get 'em. ;)

i would get the time capsule imo. however if you are getting earphones do not get bose or the apple in ear. my apple in ear have died in a little over a year and for 80 there are better ones. my friend has bose and they are nothing special. very expensive for what you get.

EDIT 2: if you want good headphones around the price of the in ear and bose but not as much as dres i would highly recommend the klipsch s4i. it was designed to work with apple idevices. it has the remote and mic. they are $99 but sound incredible for the price. they have a 4.5-5 star rating on almost every site.

Ditto this. The Apple ones are absolutely nothing special, and the Bose let in waaaaay too much exterior noise for me. I had to keep the volume quite high in order to hear the music over stuff going on around me, which was worrying. I still have them, but they're upstairs in a drawer, waiting to be called upon in an emergency back-up situation. I have the Klipsch s4i ones, use them daily, and LOVE THEM. I had to replace one pair, but only because the cord somehow got caught in the zipper of my purse and shredded itself going through airport security (or so they claimed). Bonus: a shop at the airport also sold them, and sold them for actual retail price. Other than that, no issues whatsoever.

Not quite.

Sound (6.2/10) – The sound is analytical and highly detailed. The dual armatures can really dissect a piece of music into fine details and still manage to maintain coherency. The clarity is outstanding for the price and the whole signature is a bit relaxed. I really like the sound these put out – the treble and upper mids are very crisp, the bass is fairly tight and doesn’t creep up, and instrumental separation is good. The mids are nowhere near as liquid as those produced by the other budget BA phone in my possession – the Soundmagic PL50 – and soundstaging is pretty average. They might sound a little “thin” to some but that’s inherent to the signature – for an analytical signature on a budget I can’t find much fault with them.

Value (8/10) – At the MSRP there are certainly other options out there. However, at the common ebay price of ~$35 these are an excellent earphone to be had. They make a lot of the competition sound muddy and congested but at the same time aren’t cold enough in tone to turn off the average listener. The well-thought-out, tiny housings make these a pleasure to use and the functionality doesn’t lag far behind the ergonomics.

Stop buying into brand name marketing. Just because it's Shure doesn't make it automatically better than ADDIEMs (Apple Dual Driver In Ear Monitors).

Both the Apple and Bose "in ear" headphones fall out of my ears... No experience with the "Beats" one. Only ones that have stayed in are Shure ones. So yeah, I'd be going with the time capsule. Your mileage may vary.

Yeah, kind of anti-climatic. Supposedly the new TC's handle heat dispersal better than the now previous gen. Might be worth it on that end...

do you think they die aftr 18months?

there are so many reiews on the older time capsules that people claim they "die" after 18months lol

Out of those choices, go with the Apple In-Ears.

Just fyi I have the Bose MIE2i (and the IE2), the Apple In-Ears, the Beats Solo HDs and the Studios.

The Bose are pretty decent. Comfortable and the StayHear tips do a good job of keeping them inside your ear. SQ isn't bad, but you could do (far) better for the price they ask. I'd get those if they were $50 (129-79) but not for nearly $100. That's not much of a discount.

The Beats line are incredibly bass-heavy and extremely overpriced. You pay for the B logo and the endorsements. I've had $30 Sennheisers (HD202) that sound better.

Apple In-Ears are actually quite good. Not much sound bias and pretty clear sound. Not bad at all. For free? Go for it, unless you really dislike in-ear buds.

Hopefully not. :D

My guess is that they're hoping the improved heat control will help with that. Still, won't know into they've been up and running in the wild for a bit....
