That’s my problem with it. I wouldn’t buy one for $50 because I have worn one to try it out and I hate the concept and feeling of it.
You can have an informed opinion about whether something will become a success, and act accordingly. You don’t blindly trust a tech company that their product makes sense, but you can assess it on its merits and draw you own conclusions. With the Vision Pro, it was pretty obvious that the prospects weren’t great.I’d be pissed if I purchased one of a dev that bothered to make apps for it. A lesson for future products - don’t bother developing until the platform is a success.
Is Google Earth available on it? Could be pretty cool with a good connection.
That could be PR talkOf course it's true. John Ternus literally just said "we're at super excited about it" and "we're at the beginning of the journey". Do you trust the words of Apple's incoming CEO or an unsourced clickbait article?
Same. I already have to wear my glasses to watch TV and usually wear AirPods Max, which, when worn together are incredibly uncomfortable after 15 minutes. I’d love to have a Vision Pro instead since the tradeoff would at least be an exceptionally cool experience, but unfortunately cannot justify the price ($5000 in Canada!)Speaking for a community of one — myself — I’m still hoping that a lighter, cheaper Vision Pro will appear in the next year or two. Having ‘taken it for a test drive’ last year, I know I’d buy a more affordable (and lighter) one to replace my Home Cinema setup.
Sorry, what’s the source of the latest information? An actual Apple insider? Or some third party source? Because if it’s a third party source, you can believe me: my sources have recently indicated that Apple is “super excited about it”, it’s “going to continue to grow,” and “we’re at the beginning of the journey.”Apple has all but given up on the Vision Pro after the M5 model failed to revitalize interest in the device, MacRumors has learned.
It wasn’t introduced as a niche product, it was introduced as an everyday product for general computing, as the new paradigm for computer interaction. It was bewildering then, and it is bewildering now that Apple would believe that the refresh could somehow turn the ship around. It just shows that some parts of Apple don’t have a good grasp on reality.I definitely don’t believe this… it makes no sense… Apple knew this was a niche product
