I don't understand the frustration about USBc only. All you have to do is buy one multi connection dongle for the go, and the appropriate cable for the rest.
I think the frustration is this, all the stuff you used to not need dongles for, now need ANOTHER piece to connect them. Just one more expense you have to pay to use what is already an expensive notebook.

Hmmmm. You buy one usbc to micro usb, to usb 3.0, to usb, and to lighting and aside from also hdmi, you're done. 30 bucks and you're done. Are you saying 30 dollars isn't worth the faster, multi purpose, connection that doesn't even care about the orientation upon entry?

I still don't understand. It's like buying a modern car and complaining about the stereo not having a tape deck. I think it's as simple as some people will just find something to complain about, regardless of the product, or anything else...

I hear what you are saying, for me a better analogy is you have a thinner lighter laptop than before, but you have to carry an extra power block to use it.

I just think they could have fitted something else in there for ease of use.

That feeling when a $35 Raspberry Pi has USB-A ports and an HDMI port... but your $2,000 Macbook Pro doesn't... :p

I see what Apple is doing here though. But I think they were too aggressive. Maybe they should have kept a USB-A port or two... while also introducing the USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Like I said earlier... USB-C really is an awesome port. It can do all sorts of things... power, USB, video, Thunderbolt... where you used to need separate holes in your laptop for each of those things.

But again... I think the transition could have been handled better.

I guess I don’t see it either... dongles are not a new thing.
