Apple today shared a new AirPods Pro ad titled "Snap" on its YouTube channel. The two-minute video revolves around a woman taking advantage of AirPods Pro features such as Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode while navigating a busy city.

"AirPods Pro offer unprecedented control," says Apple. "Active Noise Cancellation for immersive sound. Transparency mode to interact with the world around you."

Apple released the higher-end AirPods Pro in October 2019 with several improvements over regular AirPods, including active noise cancellation, improved sound quality, and water and sweat resistance, along with a new in-ear design. AirPods Pro are priced at $249 in the United States, while regular AirPods with a wireless charging case are $199.

Last week, it was rumored that a new entry-level version of AirPods Pro will enter production by the second quarter of 2020, but no further details have been shared. It has been speculated that the earphones could end up being third-generation regular AirPods with the same design and sound quality as AirPods Pro, but without active noise cancelation.

The dance moves look like this ad was directed by Spike Jonze, but just not up to the level of other Spike Jonze ads.

Noise cancelling on these is mediocre at best. I’m honestly surprised how and why people praise them so much. The only good thing about the airpods is how small and easy to connect they are

ANC is pretty much the only reason I keep AirPods pro after missing the alleged return period after holiday season. It is so damn good for such a tiny device. I don’t care what their ad is showing to me, as long as the feature works as intended.

Based on posts here though, it looks like the ANC has some issues after a firmware update. I think I need to go and check it out.

The thing is, without ANC, AirPods pro is just an even more overpriced AirPods with tiny benefit of able to exchange ear tips depending on your ear’s size and shape. If I want easy connectivity, I could go for Powerbeats pro. Better fit for my ear and impossible to fall off for day to day use.

ANC was AWFUL on my AirPods that were on the 2C54 update. Apple replaced them because their ipad didn't even recognize the firmware...now my AirPods are on 2B588 and the ANC is still bad. Do they replace ones on 2B588 or is everyone on that?

As long as the AirPods Pros carry the 2B588 firmware, Apple has no business touting their noise cancellation. Aren't there laws against false advertising?
You know nothing John snow. I have them. FANTASTIC! I was listening to them with noise cancellation on when my daughter’s family came home making quite a ruckus. They had to wave in my face, I literally did not hear them

se that explains why there are so many products in the world. We can make our own choices

Mine are fantastic. ANC is fabulous

What they don't show are the persistent Bluetooth connection issues iPhone 11 Pro has, be it with AirPods Pro or car stereo.

The ANC is worse on the latest Airpods Pro firmware. Apple retail has acknowledged this in the stores and will replace APPs if you ask them to. There is no ETA on when there will be a new firmware to address this.

For me, the APP is just OK. The ANC works decently at home, but I usually have it turned off. The sound quality and versatility is better w/o ANC on. On airplanes, the ANC silences the cabin drone just enough where it doesn't irritate me. It's an acceptable trade-off for not having to carry full sized cans. I've started to look into CIEMs instead as I hear those are even better than ANC. Regardless, I look forward to seeing what Apple does with their rumored full cans as well as Sony's next mx's.

Will they replace ones on 2B588?

Man, these would have fallen out of my ears 10 times if I tried to enjoy them as much as she did.

Agreed. That’s the only thing I‘m not happy about with these. No matters what size tip I use, they‘re never secure. Especially bad when eating!

Great ad tho.

I got mine shortly after launch day, and the noise cancellation was impeccable. I don't understand what technology has gone into the firmware that has made each subsequent release noticeably worse. With 2C54, I ended up having to trade mine in to get ones with the 2B588 firmware, just so I'd be able to listen on the subway.

I did the same exact thing but the ANC still isn't close to as good as it was day one.

Every single one of their ads are the same for the home pod, air pods etc. it’s just people “dancing” to New Age music and pretending it’s magical when the rest of us who bought in have had a very different experience.

Apple has offered to refund my AirPods 2 mo the beyond purchase because of the excessive replacements and failures in succession. They know the hardware is deeply flawed. They don’t want to replace them and I’m sure have tasked the developers with a firmware update that won’t work.

The shell of a company that once existed is sad to say the least.
