This is the hire I'm least excited about.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the concept per se. I just don't believe we want to be taking advice about what to wear from Comic Book Guy.

You're judging his competence to do his job or the suitability of his advice based on his appearance? I'm glad I don't work for you...

Trolling along...

This is a site where some people judge others on whether they adore certain tech equipment or not. Apparently, if you haven't got any hard feelings towards Windows or Android; or God forbid, you have any problem with any of Apple's products; you are a troll.

Before I visited this site, I didn't even know that such word existed!

Huh?

How can they hire someone in a field or product category that doesn't exist?

Ridiculous.

Oh, trolls have been around for decades. Before message forums, it was Usenet. There's a newsgroup I used to read just for laughs called comp.sys.mac.advocacy. It still exists, if it hasn't been overrun by porn spam. You'd regularly have platform flamewars that were hundreds, if not thousands of posts long. Great fun.

As for here, I think this forum is actually pretty well balanced (compared to, say, Slashdot or Engadget). There will always be a vocal minority of fanboys, both for and against Apple, but that's just how the internet works.

Wearable computers aren't so bad.

It's when they start talking about the implantable type, that I get nervous!

(Hey bud, is that a new nose ring, or a WiFi antenna?)

lol Honestly. I have a few friends who are in programs for bio-tech, and while fascinating it is a bit frightening to ponder the ramifications of half tech/half organic... On point, I used to joke about tooth implant (a crown or such) that is actually a mobile phone implant.

I knew there was something wrong with that picture. Creepy.

How is Engadget unbalanced?

We can see the development of technology from these topics.

People didn't even think of wearable computer gadgets 5 yrs ago...n now these gadgets are available worldwide..
