Logic puzzle for fanboys

So...if all samsung does is copy apple, why is apple hiring design talent from samsung?

Yes he is seriously saying that. The SGIII is plastic piece of crap. It stutters, which is unforgivable at this point! The screen sucks, and so does the camera. If you put up an SGIII against an iPhone 4S, the 4S is a way better experience. And I don't care what it scores on GeekBench.

The Note 2? Puleeze. Get an iPad mini.

Sounds like you never used one... I personaly don't like the S3 come on! The camera sucks? It's considered one of the best camera for phones. I hate the screen also but it also has been praised by many.

The Note is great for people that not want to carry a phone and a tablet. And what iPad Mini? It's not even announced yet.

He was chief engineer and VP at AMD for 16 years and then was briefly contracted by Samsung for a couple of years and media stories and Apple h8trs are positioning him as "Samsung design talent"?

I had my heart set on buying a Samsung TV because their displays are awesome. But when it came down to it, I could not bring myself to pull the trigger on the purchase after the terrible taste left in my mouth by Samsung's business practices surfaced in the Apple v Samsung trial. Samsung's anti-iPhone-user advertising does not help them in my book either since it seeks to insult me.

That.......is insane

Does it bother anyone else that Apple is frequently referred to as a maker of "gadgets" instead of as a technology/computer company? To my mind, it's a bit of a dig at Apple's products as mere toys/gadgets rather than the sparks that ignited the entire mobile/post-PC computing era.

It also makes me a bit depressed, as the press doesn't seem to remember that Apple even builds Macs any more.

(Sometimes I wonder whether Apple itself remembers that.)

/nostalgia

I remember the retina MacBook Pro. The most-advanced computer ever made, in the most-useful computer category.

“Gadgets” is a general term for a lot of things, many of them awesome. I wouldn’t worry about it.

I wouldn't call it the most advanced. The thinnest? Sure. It's certainly one of the best engineered laptops I've seen. But advanced? That's stretching things a bit.

It's official... you people smh says ethics are now insane.

Half-hearted ethics, maybe. As in "I hate this company for the things they do, but like this other company who's roughly as bad because they say I'm special when I use their products".

Haha, okay.

(I wonder if he read BC2009's entire post?)

You do realize that used the same thuggish tactics, correct? Hell, they're the ones that started the wars.

lol. I didn't know large corporations have ethics.. :)

Like many of you, I'm hoping Apple has been increasing its chip design staff only for the iOS platform. I would hate to see apple go back to putting its own processors in its full fledged computers. Intel has too many benefits.

Apple, as far as I know, never used their own processors. Back in the pre-intel days (2006?), they used Motorola/IBM PPC chipsets..

Every time I see one of these articles it reaffirms my assertion that Apple is more of a hardware company than a software company these days. The rMBP and iPhone 5 are hardware engineering marvels. Imagine how Apple could really kick ass in the mobile space if they weren't so conservative with iOS.

Isn't the real story why he left Samsung for Apple? I mean if Samsung is all that and Apple is inferior why would he leave?

Because Samsung knows more about Apple than anybody else ;)

Of course they do, Apple buys close to all the parts for their devices from Samsung. ;)

Money. Does that even need to be asked ? Samsung nor Apple is superior or inferior as an employer if you ask me, both offer quite the challenges and opportunities for people in engineering/software and quite a few other technology fields.

Got it!

Just for those keeping score:
Making a phone with rounded corners and "swipre to unlock" etc?????
COMPLETELY UNETHICAL! Do NOT buy a TV from these people.

Having your phones assembled in a sweatshop where the workers are ritually mistreated so you can keep your margins sky-high?
Nothing to see here. How dare you! This is a great company. It isn't even Apple it's the people they pay to build their stuff!!!! Also please put all the items you purchase from said company in your signature.

This is dwindling. Apple has other options beyond Samsung.

Still, that dudes argument did make a bit of sense. At the time he bought his iPhone, or other product, he KNEW Samsung had a part in it. So... why did he support poor Apple when he knew he was support big bad Samsung.

Question:
What do the following all have in common?

- iBook/MacBook
- All Apple mice (the Mighty Mouse sucked btw, the scroll ball constantly needed cleaning)
- Apple Studio Displays (see through)
- iMac G3, most of the G4, and G5

Answer:
All consisted of plastic :apple:

I don't care if you don't like Samsung, but if you're going to call them out having a plastic POS, then let's be fair about it.

The Note 2? Puleeze. Get an iPad mini.

The iPad mini is nothing more than a rumor...although likely IMO. We don't even know the specs of it, yet you say to "get an iPad mini." You sound like a...dare I say...an :apple: fanyboy.
