So no personal responsibility from you.
Plenty of personal responsibility. I used to wait on tables.
No, I didn’t say anything about subsidies.
It gets one person out of poverty by pushing someone else down. It doesn’t fix anything.

Seems to me one doesn’t waive a magic wand to make things happen. So maybe provide more context.

So? I used to run a casino on the moon. Who cares about unverifiable anecdotes.

I didn't reference a magic wand or subsidies or any sort of magical fix. I simply stated a problem.
You didnt state a problem you stated an opinion, which in the face of it doesn’t track as making things happen requires more than a magic wand and magical fix. But it seems you agree that people have to have personal responsibility.

At any rate good conversation.

I stated both. What a pedantic reply.

I don't think that you're having a conversation with me, because you just keep putting words in my mouth.

There's no reason for a companies to pay a "living wage" if you voted to import millions of people who will work for less.
Another "personal responsibility" advocate blaming other people.

your original statement, couched as fact, is in fact incorrect. Doubling down on an incorrect statement is being pedantic.
Again, you’re just making stuff up. I didn’t couch it as fact. It was clearly a possible strategy - “Or maybe fix the system, so that there are more jobs offering wages above poverty level.”

Saying “It gets one person out of poverty by pushing someone else down. It doesn’t fix anything.” is false. I’m not the one making stuff up. Anyway this has run its course.

Sigh. No, it’s not. You’re missing the context of the scenario that I was discussing. If you don’t increase the number of jobs offering wages above poverty level as I suggested, then people moving up means someone has to move down.
