Apple should allow non-employees to get into these challenges with the option of purchasing the band if he/she completes it.

so essentially, get an apple watch employees (if not already), close all rings every day for 28 days and we'll give you an ugly looking $50 band as a reward!

Good thing you don’t work for Apple. So you really don’t even have to concern yourself about it.

What garbage. Apple skipped the Thanksgiving 5K and the Ring in the New Year challenges, but they do this???

Think it’s a great idea for the employee loyalty to do small stuff like this.

But the special challenges seems like a massive missed opportunity. They have so few and could easily make one every quarter at least

All this, plus encouraging greater employee engagement with the product.

As to whether you can game this... While Move and Activity rings are adjustable, Stand is not. Personally, I find Stand to be the most challenging. If I get too deeply enmeshed in a task I can miss the tap that reminds me it's again time to stand.

To me stand is easily the easiest to fill. Probably have 16 or so a day. Move a lot in the office and if I’m deep in a task it’s probably a good thing to go pick up some water or a coffee. The activity is not adjustable as well - always 30 mins and that is my biggest challenge on a non-workout day

If anyone is coming to this thread looking for more insight into the Close Your Rings challenge, I've posted a detailed history of the challenge here, including pictures.

I've tried to compile the most details on this challenge as I could. Hopefully it's helpful to someone else.

Thanks for looking!
