So now we have a rough idea of the products for this year (Mountain Lion, iPad 3, iPhone 5 etc.), what are you most looking forward to?

For me it's probably going to be the iPhone 5.

I know we know nothing about the products yet, however I think it would be fun to compare this to what actually comes out this year.

    Poll attached.

Looking forward to the iPhone 5 the most but paying more attention at the Macbook Pro news. I swear to God that if they make the Pro more Air-like in the name of appealing to the masses so they can play their angry birds, I'm going to flip ******.

Just slightly thinner? Cool. Removing the ODD? I don't like it but I can deal with it. But taking out 2.5" HDD's and clocking down CPU and GPU for size reduction? Just a huge no in my book. That's not a Macbook Pro; that's just a beefed up Macbook air.

The next iPhone, but I don't believe it will be called 5. I think it'll be 6 or something different all together. The 4s was the 5th so 5 wouldn't make any sense.

I am an oncoming medicine student and I depend most on productivity and functionality.. so I am setting my eyes on the iPad 3 and OSX Mountain Lion.

Gatekeeper with the option of "Non App Store installations" coming to iOS. It would be nice to be able to run my own apps without having to jail break.

    Yea, I can wish.

    Iphone 3, iPhone 3G, iPhone 4..... iPhone 4s...... iPhone 5...

    There's a pattern :)

None. Apple are increasingly becoming uninteresting for me unfortunately.

    You forgot the 3Gs ;)

Yeah same here. Although, I think I'm more bored with technology in general. It's all tablets, mobility, and social networking, of which I have very little interest. I just need a computer to do some email and general surfing. I'm not into the fancy things.

Yes, I realize I'm in the minority.

iPad 3. Just so the prices go down on the iPad 2 and I can buy one for cheaper than they are currently.

The new 18 core MacPro, with 128GB of RAM, shipping with 2 x 3TB 10,000rpm internal drives, and 4 TB ports (three in back, one in front).

Me three! :) I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account. I sold my iPod Touch and iPad, and don't have an iPhone. I also recently bought a new MBP. Overall, I don't see myself buying anything Apple this year. The only possibility may be a replacement Mini, since the HDD in mine is dying, which is a good excuse to upgrade from the Core 2 model I currently have.

"Other." I am MOST excited about the stock price. :D

...Though I am definitely due to replace my iPhone 4 and will pick up the new Phone whenever it surfaces.

What belvdr said. And the 1st iPhone was called iPhone, not iPhone 3. :D

The next name I think will be 6 or LTE or X or the like, but not 5. That would just be weired.

    I certainly do not disagree.

From my experience and perspective after years of loyal and very enjoyable PowerBook / MacBook Pro use, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. So I have decided to re-frame my outlook on Apple, collapse my expectations, and go with the flow without any purchase plans whatsoever.

More than ever, I'm now feeling very content with the 15" mid 2010 MBP, running on 10.6.8 that I'm currently using.

That said, I plan on taking a wait and see approach as I watch how Apple deals with the predicted convergence of iOS & OS X. Based on Tim Cook's latest comments it appears they are racing ahead at a pace faster than some of us have anticipated.

Time will tell if I ever buy anything with Apple's hybrid OS.

From System 7, to Snow Leopard, It was a great time while it lasted :D

Apple HDTV and iOS6/iPhone 4G for me please.

No such thing as a hybrid OS from Apple. OS X and iOS are not going to merge.

I'm not reminiscing getting Type 10 Bombs in System 7 , OS 8 and 9. Sure you rarely
remember the bad stuff in the old gear but there was a a lot of CRAP in the old stuff.

Apple's approach to mobile and notebook/desktop OS is so clear and succinct it's taking huge
effort for people to concoct the craziest of implausible scenario to subvert what is the obvious.

iOS- lean and mean no filesystem
OS X - heavier duty far more legacy support, filesystem.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

MacBook pro... With some new features would be nice. It's exciting for apple in many ways - without the guidance and vision of Steve Jobs, apple has a lot to prove. And with so many mainstream products not relying on a dedicated user community, they run the risk of being overtaken by someone who will try hard to be better. Hoping they'll do well. (I've had my first mac in 1996 and have not looked back since...)

I am most excited about AAPL stock price. Having bought apple stock almost guarantees me that I can buy every year a new iPhone, iPad, and Macbook just from the capital gain on my initial investments. Think about making a break in your Apple purchase spree and buy Apple stock instead and after 12 months you will be very happy!
