What is that? I know with SquareTrade I can have a phone sent to me, and continue using my broken one until it arrives if it does operate, it is one day shipping. I could see how access to an Apple Store might sway your opinion, but where I'm living it would be a mail in replacement either way so it's a moot point. Not trying to be difficult, I might consider it for my 8+, not really sure who'll I'll be using for insurance ATM.

Same concept. Apple overnights you a device. Again, to me the convenience of doing everything through Apple makes up for the cost (and accessories). Its just easy. I'm part of the IUP, so I get AC+ included anyway. But I purchase it for my Macs and Apple Watch. The only device I have not is for my iPad because I don't travel with it much, so the chance of breaking it is very slim.

Oh I totally understand. I went for AC+ on my new 12.9 because it does make me happy it would go directly through Apple repairs, or I'd get a Apple refurbished replacement, and I think the $99 price is perfectly reasonable. I just can't stomach the cost for the phones ( and rather embarrassingly there have been numerous cases of more than 2 screen cracks and I need an insurance that'll keep helping:()

I get it. Some plans work better for others. I was just mentioning that in reality, the plans really aren't that far apart in price anymore. When square trade was 75$ and AC was 99$ and AC didn't include accidental, then square was definitely a better deal. Now they are pretty much the same.

Oh yeah they have. Insurance is one thing that I believe can be flexible, but changing your products price after more than a month of being released is just disgusting

See, that is odd.

Unless iOS 11 will make current products even better than they are or were with iOS 10. Than I can kind of see a price increase justified, since Apple products have the longest free support and iOS upgrades.

Or Apple simply wants to recoup its money in the shortest period of time spent on Apple Park.

Or recover the $86mill bonus Mr Cook has received this year.

I don't know, I'm throwing random thoughts out there.

If you went out today and bought a 2016 Honda Civic w/ zero miles on it did you just buy a new car or did you buy a year old car?

I think you would tell everyone you bought a new car...
