Thanks for the info. We have a 2011 iMac deep in a hospital that is now exhibiting the video card issue in 2017. I was looking to see if it was worth carrying it a mile + out of the hospital to the car and schlep it to Apple. But now we will purchase a new one.

2 month ago I look mine in, they covered the entire cost of the new card and the cost of labour. What’s more is my hdd had a fault, they replaced that as well. The only cost I had was because I wanted to keep the old hdd...

If you need any help let me know..
whether you wanted a hand doing it your self, or what to say to Apple,

Many thanks,

Tim

No need to be so dramatic. Besides, they're fixing the problem free of charge. It's unrealistic to expect perfection from everyone all the time. At least once it was established, it was made right. These things happen. Apple takes care of business.

Now, Dell on the other hand...

Everyone is so quick to point out other companies errors. Guess what we are not taking about dell. This is about apple.
[doublepost=1510075243][/doublepost]Apple really needs to stop using upgraded video cards. They consistently have major issues when they use them.

What's an "upgraded video card" in this context?
