Wow, if I hadn’t checked this forum I would have had no idea there was a waiting list. I kept wondering why I didn’t see the new Siri appearance after updating.

Most people are gonna never know to toggle it on. After the ios update there is zero notification that one has to enable this "feature".

Weird...I just checked for updates at about 11:45AM CST, and got 18.1 downloaded and installed no problem. Didn't see anything about a waitlist.

The waitlist is for Apple Intelligence not for iOS 18.1 you have to go into your settings and join the waitlist

Bot a list to download. After downloading go to Setting, Apple Inteligence and then join the waiting list. Took me about 30 minutes before mine was activated.

So odd for Apple to not include Apple Intelligence automatically as part of the update. Clearly they want limit the number of people who have access to it

Yes. Mine took about an hour then I got a message saying it was on.

Joined waitlist about 30 mins ago and it hasnt changed. I was so excited to try it out right after updating. Sigh.

After about 45 minutes of being on the waitlist mine just started downloading.

Mine just jumped form joined, to pending, to done. Still had to toggle ON apple intelligence in the screen though.

The photo cleanup thing isn't really that well shown either as far as turning it on. Have to open a photo then tap edit and tap cleanup, then it downloads something and becomes active.
