Recently recycled my iPhone 6 Plus and iPad 3rd generation with Brightstar. No complaints here. Got $175 for the phone, $85 for the iPad. I tried selling both myself on eBay - after the 3rd scammer I encountered, I said "forget it," and went the recycling route. It was much simpler and quicker imo.

If Apple really wanted to make this useful, they would allow in-store appraisals and provide the gift card on the spot. I'd be on my way up there right now with my old S0 if that were the case. Otherwise, while $50 would be nice, it's not worth the hassle and risk based on the reviews I've heard about Brightstar. I even had to go through some unnecessary hoops selling an old 6s to Gazelle (which I thought was supposed to be on the up and up but came across as shady to me). Pass.

So I used this service and sent them my wife's old Series 0 watch for $75 offer. The watch was in perfect condition, in fact it was a replacement sent by Apple recently and it has never been worn or used. This morning Brightstart received it and updated the value to $50. What a rip off.

That sucks! It worked out really well for me. Sent in a Series 0 stainless without the band or any accessories. It had been worn every day for a couple of years but was still in great condition. They sent a box; I shipped it back and 4 days later got a $75 gift card.
