Jesus H Christ. What is going on this year? Did they lose all their top software engineers? Overheating iPhones and Screen Retention are huge issues. Now, one of the headline features of the premium Apple watches should be turned off as a workaround? Simply unacceptable for a company of this caliber.
Its called the "Who cares they will buy anything" Syndrome !

Ha! I thought I was seeing things, but this confirms that I was not imagining it😊. It doesn’t bother me (yet) but good that Apple is investigating.

Yep. The reallocated many of them to the stupid $3500 headset no one is gonna buy. As a result whenever they reallocate resources other software/hardware products ALWAYS suffer. This is one of those times sadly.

So, the cartoon is about election software, but it acknowledges a VERY important point about software engineers: They're bad at what they do:

It's time for software engineering to grow the F up. You want to call yourself an engineer, act like one. Yes, that means new features will be slower to come out. But at this point, with everything connected and every operating system full of bugs and security holes, it's time to stop acting like it's still the '80s and stop shipping broken software.

You have absolutely no idea. Like zero. Zip. Nada.

How about they investigate the external display flickering issue with the Macbook Pros, or the fact my TV flickers when it's using the Apple TV?
Sounds like you have a faulty HDMI socket or cable. I’ve got 5 Apple TVs including two of the latest ones and they work flawlessly with Dolby Vision.

You really don't understand what bugs are. It's a small glitch that is caused by a specific use case. Far different to being broken. Software engineers do amazing things.

For example, Airdrop is not perfect but I still think it's one of the best features Apple has in their ecosystem, even though it doesn't work 100%. Love how melodramatic people can be. It's funny and sometimes sad.

The 1st keynote event when Jobs introduced the 1st iPhone the apps had to be opened in a specific order else the phone would have crashed. It wasn't ready for prime time. They moved forward with the keynote figuring they could fix the bugs before it released. So yes, this is very much Apple's way of doing things.

Ive been on 10.1 RC for over 24 hours now and have done extensive testing in all kinds of lighting inside and outside and it's safe to say all of the display wonkiness is resolved. it seems so much smother now at adjusting the screen from the light sensor and no flickering/flashes etc.

But it’s certainly not new. They’ve gotten much better considering the phones and devices have gotten much more complex. I think it was a great concession allowing public betas with iOS 8 in 2015.

My 9 is in always on mode. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. No problems. Currently on Public Beta 10.1.

Clearly, “Royksöpp” is Swedish for “the sky is falling”.

Completely incorrect. That’s not even the same thing. The iPhone was a first generation product, so bugs were a given. The Apple Watch is already 8 years into its run and the iPhone even longer. Bugs should be minor. The iPhone 15 Pro bugs have not been minor. That kind of neglect for software is inexcusable. No one should be defending that, fanboys included.
