Apple Inviting Some Users to Beta Test New HomePod Software

Also, All I need for the HomePod with version 14 aside from native Spotify support is the ability to AirPlay a stereo pair of HomePods on macOS! I noticed once I got on the dev beta of Big Sur yesterday that there STILL is no ability to do that....

what doorbells with homekit do we have right now?
The „ring“ ones from amazon dont work with homekit as far as i know.

5.0 or 7.0 (no subwoofer needed or one homepod could only function as the sub - if possible).
would be so great if the setup would be automatical due to the microphones inside the homepods. They could meassure themselves where they are in the room etc. The perfect sound setup.
I‘ve got some more ideas for the homepod, apple should just ask me

Apple’s website lists three HomeKit enabled doorbells. And Ring works with Homebridge, but that requires more work than simple plug and play.what doorbells with homekit do we have right now?

Basically a private targeted beta program, not 'public' like the public beta, and not developer focused - could be everyday users, Apple Store staff, etc.
Yes, during Best Buy $199 sales. I currently own five; two stereo pairs and one used monophonically.
There was a substantial improvement going to stereo.
First of all you probably need to be running iOS 14 on the iPhone to do this. Then go to your Appleseed site and select HomePod on the left side, then click on download and then download the profile using your iPhone.

I would have them checked out. Mine have functioned that way for quite some time. Only time I have to reselect them on the Apple Tv is after a reboot.
That I don't know - I suspect not. I've only used a stereo pair for movies via AppleTV.
But I am not. I have no idea how and why I got invite to this but I accepted. Am I breaking some rules? I thought this was widely available. I did. And while it seems like the ATV is seeing my stereo pair as "HomePod Right," they're still functioning as a pair.
And holy crap, you'd think these were pre-apple Beats with how much bass they have now. I also think they're staying paired to the ATV when I just put it to sleep, which is awesome.
Honestly, they are amazing speakers, and that is it. They are horrible smart speakers.
