mine has been in Newark since 2:38AM as well. I wouldnt worry too much though. You're supposed to give the system 24 hours to update, and with this much volume, it may take even longer to update.

Stress free's the way to be

(PS. I CANT WAIT TIL MY PHONE GETS HERE TOMORROW!) :D

People, FedEx isn't live updated, so you're not going to know the minute the phone leaves Newark. I live in DC, I figure they'll be able to make it in the 16 hours since the phone got to Jersey.

yep, mine's been there since 2:38 AM as well. I'm in central PA, only a 3-4 hour drive so I'm not too worried. It'll get here tomorrow morning/afternoon.

i have 2 iphones stuck there too, same time too. our phones are buddies, mine are going to Long island, NY thou

Looks like my iphone and my wife's iphone are tagging along with yours. I called fedex and spoke to a real person and according to them they should be delivered tomorrow.

Mine too, but I'm not sure where to since I don't see a flight at that time. I'm DC metro, are you? Maybe they are driving it down.

You think FedEx is going to waste a DC10, MD-11, etc for a 4 and 30 hour drive down to the DC area do you? I don't think that will be profitable. I am sure it is on a semi to Washington Dulles to be split up there.

hah, yeah I'm in mechanicsburg. probably about a half hour from you.

For those from NC, do you think they will be freighting them by truck from Newark to NC, or Flying to Memphis then freighting by truck to NC? It seems Newark to NC by truck would be more economical

And do you think FedEx would waste those same planes to fly in on Saturdays to deliver maybe 1/8 the weekday volume. Oh wait...they do. Why? For the customer.

That is how they use to do it. I've sent many FedEx envelopes to Baltimore b/c that who our firm contracts w/ for doc delivery. We are talking 45 min up 95, right, but envelope goes IAD to MEM to BWI. Maybe they got wise.

It's not about volume in this case. It's what makes good business sense. Getting a package from Memphis, TN to DC will be flown because it is the fastest way to get there on time. Going from NJ to DC, it makes no sense to fly it. It's a short hop and probably not worth the fuel. Either way, the package would be delivered tomorrow. It is the cheaper route to do it by truck and still gets the package here on time.

Wow! Really? Who came up with that idea?
