Sorry, but I disagree out of personal experience and not hearsay. And I'm not about to spend money on something that "I" had a horrible experience with, (also, you won't see me buying another MacBook Air until the 3rd generation release), but then again, that's the way I roll.....:(

But I think that for 45 bucks, it's not bad.

I've always used a Jabra for my bluetoothing needs. I've always been very happy with its quality. I am intrigued by the JawBone headsets, because I have heard that the call quality is excellent.

Do the jawbones work well with the 3G? Does anyone here use a Jawbone?

I the last 2 weeks I visited the Apple store in leawood, KS and Las Vegas, NV (Forum shoppes) twice. I thought it was odd the headset wasn't in stock at either place then yeserday before I left the shop in Vegas and I checked online and saw the news via one of their machines. Its cool looking but got poor feedback. Hopefully they design another, but with better performance.

People are saying that it was recalled.

Will the new bluetooth in 3.0 allow for listening to music via bluetooth? If so, what headset is the best for this with the iPhone?

The new iPhone 3.0 software will allow for music to be streamed over bluetooth to headphones. Since the software is still glitchy and in beta, it is difficult to know which headphone is best for the iPhone.

The speculation in this thread in concerning whether Apple will create a pair of wireless headphones for the iPhone.

Please read here for my evaluation of two blue tooth headsets. I update daily and report on what I find and how it works.

Hope that helps.

The Apple Blue Tooth Headset does NOT pair with 3.0 beta software. I have tried every reset configuration that I can think of and nothing. The orange light on the back of the headset shows its being charged but the 3.0 iPhone does not see it.

I am praying that this is a bug and that just because they discontinued it that they are not incorporating the additional software.

If there is any other 3.0 with Apple Headset users...please test and see if the same is happening.

Thank You

I like my Apple Bluetooth headset but, I very rarely use it. The battery doesn't last very long and it's usually easier to use the headphones.

That would suck if it stopped supporting the apple headset.

I am running 3.0 Beta and it paired instantly. It would not pair by connecting it to the iPhone/BT combo USB but it paired manually via these instructions:

Uhm...ok...how do you think I tried to pair it??? I used the travel cable and it pairs just fine with my Classic "per the instructions" I will not pay for a dual dock unless you want to loan me yours? Because I use a case and i already own one dock and 4 cables.

Again, ON MY iPhone using 3.0 the Apple Blue Tooth Headset does NOT pair but it DOES PAIR with two different Blue Tooth Headsets as I have previously posted. So if there is ANYONE else that has the same equipment would test and post feedback instead of referring me to instructions that I use to help others:rolleyes:

By the way...there is only ONE way to PAIR the Apple Bluetooth headset to the Apple iPhone.

For everyone else...I have done some further testing with my usable Blue Tooth Headsets. The A2DP stack is very very power hungry. I am doing further testing to see if its because I had two sets paired along with other things on. I will start a new thread on 3.0 battery results in a few days.

Yes i did it arrived today it is charging right now and will try to pair it with my Dare later. I couldnt believe the guy was selling it for $15 so I jumped on it and bought it. the ac adapter was brand new!

AppleCare?

AppleCare?

NO, But it works fine and I find that apple replaces their "cheap" products for free. THis is from experience on many ipod nanos. I think I am going to sell it on ebay though for $50 so if anyones interested I will send you the auction number when i list it (if i do)
