It's great! What else can I say?
I resisted getting a big iPod for ages, mainly on price grounds, but the Shuffles are a bargain! Not only can they store oodles of music, you can move data files around on 'em too! I've even managed to plug mine into *whispers* PCs, no problem, though it's a faff unmounting it in W**d**s 2000 :(
Nice and light, slips into a pocket where the play controls are still easy to use through the fabric. My only slight moan is that the on switch is hard to manipulate, making it difficult to select shuffle or ordinary mode, and the headphones won't stay in my ears properly, though that may just be the design of my ears (Analogue-Cerebral 2 channel interface ver. 1.0) ;) rather than the 'phones. I may be tempted to go for Apple's in-ear ones instead.

Dont buy the apple in ear headphones. They dont stay in your ears well at all. I give them two thumbs down. Id go to audiocubes.com and pick out a nice set from sony.

I'm finding myself more and more tempted to get an iPod shuffle just to use it as a USB key...

More or less my reason for one. I needed a USB drive...might as well get a fairly sizeable capacity...may as well get one that plays music...wait, iPod shuffle.

I've got a full-sized and a shuffle now...they're good for different things. It's a lot easier to grab a shuffle for a quick trip or jog. Though I still prefer my full-sized, it is a bit impractical at times, and at those times, a shuffle fits just right.

I don't have any problems with mine; I've been using them since last February (shortly after I bought my Shuffle). I find them comfortable and unobtrusive. And they sound great - much, much better than the standard iPod earbuds. I'm glad I got them.

I have a 1Gig Shuffle and I think it is one of the better investments I have made lately. I use it all the time for work and for my thesis I am currently working on. Works great for storage and works really well as an MP3/AAC player. I hook it up in my car via a tape adapter (yep, my car has one of those antiquated things) and the sport case is great for taking it to the beach and not having to worry about the salty air.

One of the things I noticed first is that it is really well constructed. It is a solid piece of hardware. I am not the only person that noticed this. Check out this disection:

My five month old and barely used 20gig 4th gen ipod is waaay too precious and heavy for the gym. It is hard for me to believe people actually take them for work outs.

Just got a 1gig shuffle. Am very impressed with small size and price. Got mine for $112 shipped. Apple rocks. So now I have a larger player for a big library and a work out pod. Which I will use all the time.

My iPod shuffle died! eek

Apple Replacement is on the way, but I have to pay shipping since its been over six months... grrr.

Im goin to get one for more compact music usage, i love the ipod mini i have but the Shuffle is still really cool and compact, plus i can get rid of my Flash drive that i bought years ago (32meg for $80) when they first came out. Geesh stuff drops in price

:p

Sooo everyone likes their shuffle?

I'd like to pick one of these up. My 20GB iPod just doesn't work for running :). Plus it's an excuse to pick up another set of the earbuds after my puppy ate my originals. :(

since getting the 512, i have not used my 40gb photo, it just seems so bulky to connect to your belt. i have yet to listen to all the songs i downloaded. i got another 512 since. but have yet to open that one.
