Here's a name that I haven't seen tossed around for the tablet:

Canvas

The Apple announcement looks like an artist painting on a 'canvas', and artists are usually 'creating' things, so maybe extrapolating both it would be an interesting name? Anyone else agree?

If so, I wonder how I could lock myself in as the first one who suggested that 'Canvas' would be the name of the Apple tablet?

I like Canvas way better than iSlate...Blah! The Apple Canvas!

The paint splatter on the invitation clearly indicates that the tablet can be used as an input device for Apple's new professional photo software that will go head-to-head with Adobe Photoshop. It will be 64 bit and all tablets will include a free version. This is how they will sell 10 million tablets.... right?

tablet..

it'll be beautiful to look at with a fantastic user interface.

but horribly over-priced, outrageously under-specked and the 1st generation will be about as reliable as a french car.

I WANT I WANT I WANT

Interesting ...

Definitely gonna buy one:D

BTW I hope at the beginning of his presentation, Steve introduces new i5 MBP with all black unibody design. (If he does, I need to break into my big *ss piggy bank;))

Sounds like a Tablet but it could be a major iPhone announcement.

Has anyone notice how AT&T has stopped all IN-YOUR-FACE marketing, advertising, and promoting of the iPhone on their website?? Does this mean anything??

Yes. It means they have stopped all IN-YOUR-FACE marketing, advertising, and promoting of the iPhone on their website.

I'm all about that for the name.

That invitation is shaped like a huge trackpad and the sparkling colors whisper that it's for drawing. This thing will be called Magic Slate and it will replace mice.

Maybe there's one more thing called iSlate.

Look at the image. It looks art-related. This, right off the bat, makes me think it's going to be a tablet that you can draw on...

Then, look at the tagline. It says "latest creation" which, to me, sounds like something TOTALLY new and not an update to an existing product. Also, you could take the word "creation" and get "creative" out of it and then the whole art thing repeats again.

can someone please tell me how long the conference is? and if there was a new MBP update would it be launched the same day or next day of announcement? because my b-day is on the 28th! the day after and i would like to get a MBP and i think last time they updated the MBP they started selling them next day or week, let me know what you guys think please thank you!:D

I hope they show the newest advancement of the iPhone...

I cant see it

The Tablet, the new iPhone and the software that runs on both of them!

Definitely gonna buy one:D

Based on the invite, black will not be available, but how about a nice shiny orange MBP. [Yeah, yuk.].

I would love this too...but I doubt Apple is going to do another redesign of the MBP so soon.
