DeSnousa said:Last rumour had the prices at AUD$1.75. Expect around there and older music being cheaper.
AppleinJapan said:Why do we Aussies always get the worst deals !! $1.75 for a song ! Canada got 99 cents a song - why can't we ??? there's not much difference between the C$ and the Aussie$.
At least the courts smacked down Sonys mod chip case ! it gives us the ability to play games that we would not usually get in PAL Australia...
Please Apple OZ 99 cents or bust

Anyway, did anyone else read the article in The Australian about how our iTMS is really close to opening? It was from about last week or so. It didn't have anything in it beside speculation on the internet (probably just this thread 🙄 ) though so I don't think there's anything in it. 🙁

And in May it got delayed, just like it did in September, and twice in October. I'm the guy posting that news - and I stand by it.Bern said:This wouldn't be the first time that forum made this claim. Not sure where they get their inaccurate information from but they are never right. Best sticking to here.
Chundles said:Songs on the au music store cost AUD$1.69. I know this because I bought a song from the au music store on that fateful day in May when it all nearly happened.

i actually signed up here before we started AppleTalk, so no - that isn't the reason i signed up... which really isn't the point.Bern said:You joined MacRumors just to post this or to make a point?
Don't you co-own and administer the AppleTalk Australia Forum?
My advice has been spot on - and then the store gets delayed, and pushed back. I can't go back in time from when a record company has pulled out of the deal and change last week's news. The thing is, the bigger sites will link appletalk on "iTMS Date is: xx/xx/xx" news articles, but wont link on "iTMS delayed, again." so you never see the update. In any event your advice has been way off before apparently. I hope this time you're right and ITMS does come to Australia when you say, I guess that would be a feather in your cap for your Apple Forum.

Just playing with you Bern, no hard feelings.
