Sure not that much. Just give the 99 cent tier for free and make the 99 cent tier a little better. That would actually back up just what you say. 5GB is really small these days.
50GB isn't going to change the user experience for most. People aren't going to suddenly buy more iPhones because of this. Probably this will just cost Apple tens to hundred million dollars a month of revenue if they did this and people would just be slightly happier.

I rather have that multimillion dollars invested into new user features of operating systems.

Everyone is greedy. The world runs on it. Why isn't everyone in this position?

Easy answer, greed doesn't make you wealthy and is an irrelevant talking point.
Tongue in cheek post incoming, it made me think a lot.

That’s a great angle. People that complain about other successful people or groups of people or entities of “being just greedy” is probably also jealousy and entitlement in disguise.

The usual “why they have more than me, they should give me some of theirs”…

To expand on the idea: being greedy doesn’t really get you there, the more someone is greedy, less generous and less team player; the less people will want to hang around that person and will miss on growth opportunities.

The ultra luxury brands (weird 10000x markup bags, super expensive cars, etc) are not trillions dollars companies… and often they survive by having a more practical everyday main brand at the same time.

Case in point: government is the ultimate greed exemplified, it will take your first six months of the year for them to burn (where I live), steal and corrupt away; and will even convince the population that their collapsed services are “free” (collapsed highways, stale policing that catch nobody guilty, collapsed “free” health care, etc). And in consequence they are the most bankrupt and in the red (negative beyond human comprehension) entity.
