I’m a bit confused on how you charge this. Do you have to use lightning or can you slap the MagSafe charger on the battery?

I finally got most of my lightning chargers replaced, and im not going back to unreliable cables.

You can use lightening or charge it via your phone

I charge my phone with MagSafe, so unless it has passthrough MagSafe charging that means you have to charge your phone, then detach MagSafe from the phone, attach the battery, charge the battery, detach the battery, attach MagSafe to the phone, charge the phone, and then detach MagSafe and then reattach the battery.

Or you have to use a cable that stops working because the A/C kicked on and it wiggled just enough to stop working.

Seems like a lot of steps just to charge a spare battery.

If you don’t want to use Lightning cables, it does not look like this battery pack is for you. It requires a Lightning cable to charge it directly and a Lightning cable plugged into the iPhone when the battery case is on the phone if you want to charge the case. I don’t believe you can use the MagSafe charger to charge this battery pack. Since both MagSafe charger and battery pack are designed to attach to the phone, they will oppose each other because their poles are the same. I verified this with my two MagSafe chargers.

That’s weird. I attached it to my belkin MagSafe charger and the light indicator came on.

My battery pack should be here in a day or two. I will see If it charges with my MagSafe charger.

I received my MagSafe battery pack today. I laid the pack on the table with the charging side.up. The MagSafe charger would push the battery aside rather than attach. I could actually feel it pushing the battery pack away. I could make them attach somewhat, but they were off center. The two simply won’t be aligned.

It’s because they’re not designed to charge one another, ie the MagSafe charger cannot charge the battery pack.

Hmmmmmm? Instead of sticking an extra 11mm thickness (nearly 1/2") onto your iPhone 12 Pro, what if Apple just made the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, say, an extra 1/8" thicker? I wonder just how much battery capacity could be added.

I wish it had solar panels on it and would charge that way as well as deliver a full charge to the Mini. Honestly though, my Mini's battery life has been fine, even with what I would consider Moderate usage it works from about 8am until 8pm for me before hitting that 10% warning.

Worth considering the Anker one instead? It is more expensive and has less capacity but I'd personally feel more comfortable using that than this one:
I should just pull the trigger now..since the price of the Anker keeps going up!
Now $54
