Yes but there are cheaper ones out there already that do the full 15w charging.

I have one of those many said cheaper ones that claims to do full 15W charging, yet when actually using it ... it doesn't. If you cannot charge up and use the iPhone simultaneously vs just use the iPhone with MagSafe-like chargers it's not something you wanna cheap out on (the latter).

There is an interesting thread here on that.

Really?
Me thinks few people like the design/price/low capacity, so few will be sold.

LOL! You are joking, right? Yes, the small subsection of Apple users on Macrumors that like to nitpick about everything Apple releases won't buy it, but I can assure you PLENTY of people will be buying this, many of whom have already chimed in on this thread.

How are this year’s white silicone cases holding up? The batter pack looks like it’s made of the same material.
I had the white cases for older iPhones and they always held up quite well.

Stealing from another commenter:
"This is 1460mAh @ 7.6 volts, or equivalent to a 2920mAh 3.8V battery, so almost the same as the iPhone 12/12 Pro battery. mAh isn’t a useful metric of direct comparison unless the output voltage is the same. You should use Wh (which is Ah*V) instead."
Yes, but taking into account the inefficiencies of wireless charging, I’d think it’s a moot point. 50% is lost to heat during transfer.

This thing obviously uses reverse wireless charging..hello!?
When are we getting that for real?
Who knows maybe with 14.7 they activate it but my guess is will be not activated and the best air pods pro will have MagSafe case to charge them

First I was a little sad it's not available for the 11, then realized that my 11 Pro has more battery life than a 12 pro with the pack attached 🤣

A rather usless gimmick for $99 but the fansheep gonna buy it anyway as seen in the comments.
Almost as silly as that battery case abomination because "thinnest smartphone we ever made"

Better battery life? Make those damn phones 1mm thicker*, barely anyone would complain, but in return no more need to purchase and carry around an extra gadget, which also generates additional e-waste. Wo gonna drown in worn out batteries one day.

*) Which luckily seems to be the case with the upcoming 13 models, getting about 10-20% more mAh.

I’ve had my white Apple silicone since launch day and it still looks like new. No discoloration or any other stains. I usually wipe it maybe once a week.

Considering the volume of sales this will achieve against the volume of sales of iPhones generally, I think your idea would be a rather misguided gesture. Larger batteries use more materials, the same way extra batteries do.

Not to mention that a 10% larger battery is useless to someone who needs 50% more.

Absolutely not in the same way. Mind the extra electronics, housing, wrapper, shipping, etc.
Also wireless charging causes further efficiency losses.

Adding 10-20% on the already good iPhones 11/12 battery life would suit to >95% of all people I am sure.
I stand by my point, Apple sets wrong priorities here. But I get them --> $$$ profit
