Almost

Not a developer and was able to log in and access Calendar, Find My iPhone and Contacts but unable to access the Mail.

I don't have an @me.com account so I'm sure that's part of it. Keeps telling me to turn on Mail settings in iCloud using iOS or OS X. Probably need to be a developer to turn those on.

Interesting. Still, it's cool to know that I'll have access to this data at some point and at no charge so long as I'm okay with the 5GB. And the pricing for more storage is very reasonable. Probably won't matter much since neither pictures or music count towards your data cap.

Maybe you aren't using MobileMe/.Mac like I am? I don't know. I logged in via my @me.com address and it prompted me for that right away before anything else.

No I have my Apple ID set as @me.com, but have Gmail as my email address on that account

It is asking me to move my account over from MobileMe to iCloud. If I do so will I still be able to access my info from me.com (and more importantly access it from my iOS devices)?

To me this is the million dollar question and theer are several threads, I belive, running on this with absolutely no resolution.

The issue of having an original Gmail (for example) apple ID and a seperate Me.Com (Mobileme) account seems commonplace unlike a solution.

What are we supposed to do give up the old MM account etc ? :apple:

Think I will hold off creating iCloud accounts etc until there is a bit more info in case I tie my own hands on this one....................

Both accounts will eventually become iCloud accounts. You will have to use both, as of right now Apple has said there will be no way to merge accounts.

I have a feeling someone pushed the launch button by accident...

The border looks thinner on the iPhone that "iCloud for pages" image, and the screen looks closer to the speaker... Might be the 5.

Its a Beta....and not a Google Beta. The real deal.

Biggest scourge on the planet was Google's complete abuse of the term Beta.

I'm a real dev too...but I can't login...it tells me to move my MobileMe stuff to iCloud, but then redirects me to an unfound page, how'd you move over to iCloud?

same here. i am hoping soon i can move from mobile me to iCloud.

Works fine for me, but I have my UDID registered and already have a free iCloud email. Been waiting forever for a way to view my iCloud email online, Windows Live Mail suck! :apple:

I'm not a dev, and i can't log in, I'm trying from my mac and it says that is requiered to have Lion and i DO have it and it keeps saying i don't hahaha, funny ahh?:D

Perhaps it should say Lion with iCloud installed.

I'm also getting Apple ID/password error even though I'm entering the correct info.

2 questions for the great informed:

1. Will we be able to set up syncing on this iCloud storage a la Dropbox (if that is the case worth paying for extra storage methinks )

2. Anybody got a feel for data speeds yet...again as a mass public service Dropbox was and is streets ahead of Mobileme data upload speed wise etc.

snow leopard & also had activated some time ago findmyiphone the free one (not the whole mobileme) here and everything works except of course Mail; need to see how to sync contacts and my calendars though...

I live in Nova Scotia, and when I selected Halifax for the time zone, the zone came up as "Atlanta Time". Guess the spelling is in beta. :D

I don't think MobileMe ever used that giant NC data center. I'd expect speeds to improve.

I just gave it a go, and I'm able to log in using IE on my windows PC. I'm not a developer.

Mail gives me this message: To use iCloud Mail, create an @me email address by turning on Mail in your iCloud settings usings iOS or OS X.

Contacts just shows me as the 1 and only contact.

Calendar loads and looks similar to the Lion version. I don't really use it on my MBA, so I can't compare.

Find My iPhone says: To use Find My iPhone on the web, sign in at me.com.

iWork shows me 3 pages: Keynote for iCloud, Pages for iCloud, and Numbers for iCloud. At the bottom of each page it says "Learn More" and "Get [iWork application name - Pages, Keynote, Numbers]". Clicking this "Get" button takes me to Apple's Developer registration form. I don't want to sign up for a developer's acct, so I'm not going to do all that. :/

Is there any way to get iCloud working on iOS 4.x? I don't have iOS 5, and I'm happy with my current setup, so just wondering.

I can log in, but I didn't allow it to migrate my MobileMe account. I am concerned that my MobileMe syncing may break since I am not running the iOS or Lion betas.

I finally registered, motivated mostly to express what's going on on my end with iCloud beta haha. I'm a developer pending activation currently, and I'm running Lion on a 15" MBP. Since reading Macrumor's tweet and noodling around on iCloud site, Safari has "quit unexpectedly" (I call that crashing) about five times now. I don't think this is a coincidence, because Safari crashes for me few and far between, not consistently and in a row.

Just thought I'd add this to the mix. Other than that, logging in and navigating the site hasn't been difficult for me.
