I have a 2018 Macbook Pro so "should" just make the cutoff looking at all the minimal requirements but I don't have the update? Even going to Terminal and typing "softwareupdate -l" shows no updates. I confirmed my MacBook Pro is 15,1. Its anyone else having this issue?

Edit: Literally had to wait until after I posted this. Now it's showing.

i think i remember reading this is not supported on intel macs, is that right? if that's the case it's a shame Apple is constantly feature rationing their loyal customers on still supported platforms (like charge limiting on ios for example) as there is no reason the intel mac cannot do this. we've had remote desktop features on other platforms since windows 95 days on much, much less powerful hardware, LOL.

It's only showing up on my "M-series" Mac's. On my 2020 Intel Mac for example, it won't show up.

Has anyone here been on the beta? What's your impressions?

I feel like these feature-driven updates (as opposed to the ones with big under-the-hood changes) are usually quite safe… not looking forward to the changes on the security model.

If you're referring to the iPhone Mirroring feature, yes, it does work on Intel Macs. I'm running a 2018 Mac mini (Intel i7) and the iPhone mirroring works just fine in Sequoia.

It's supported on M-series Macs and Intel Macs with T2.

EDIT - darnit - the "Quote" button didn't work. I was referring to a comment about iPhone Mirroring only being for M1. Not about Squoia in general.

I've been on the Sequoia 15.1 beta for a while now, with very few hiccups.

Also upgraded to iOS 18.1 beta, and Watch OS 11 beta before the weekend, to get in before the crowd... ;)

Edit: Other way around... :p

i finally saw Sequoia 15.0 public release in AppStore a few minutes ago, but it didn't lead to an installer, until just seconds ago!
