Just had a quick look, in my area Nokia's is worse than Apple's. Google has everything spot on as far as I can see though, so it's not as if we don't have access to any good maps.
Correct answer.

Samsung would never do something like this. Kudos to Apple.
Samsung also sells phones with navigation that....works...
How are you crippled? There are alternatives.
Tim did what was right! No more, no less. Maps rocks!
Can we finally just let this go and accept the fact that there are other options and that Apple is working to fix it?
no news, is good news for me
about time Apple noticed this and needed an alternative.... WHILE they hopefully improve their stuff..
Nothing else they coulda done......
If people here were concerned about what Samsung sold they probably wouldn't be here complaining about the loss of Google maps.
As comparatively bad as Apple Maps is, I think you missed the point of the post you quoted.Samsung also sells phones with navigation that… works…
uh yes it could we could have got back our map that actually worked and it be the default....smh wow i never really believed the isheeple thing til now
You didn't see my first post in this topic. What's the alternative to Street View? And why would I want to use it rather than remain on 5.1.1?

Tim Cook even said Nokia Maps are better! Woof woof!
True. Apparently they heard you. Still no downgrade path or a interim return of Google maps yet. Whatcha gonna do now? File a class action against Apple?People here wouldnt be complaining if Apple didnt put out a turd of a Map App.
wow.... he said that ?
Nokia ?
Mr Cook is simply allowing iOS 6 users see for themselves how many issues there are in competitive maps. I downloaded Nokia maps because they are being lauded as one of the best. It got my first request for directions wrong. Apple maps got it right the first time.
Break your contract, buy a phone that has what you want. Problem solved. Right now Apple can't/won't solve your street view issue. If this is an overwhelming need, you'll find a way to get what you want, or else wait like the rest of us.
Huh? Apple admitting their shortcomings is a good thing. Would you rather them pretend there is no problem?
You're seriously arguing that users who want their removed features back should break their cell phone contracts? And, presumably, look on Craigslist for used iPhone 4Ses?
I think you've just demonstrated the clear need for Apple to give us back our removed functionality.
again you can't default it !!! Are you people really as thick as you appear ?There's always the Google Maps mobile site!

Pointless anecdote.
