Instead of issuing more watch band designs it's about time they made extra long straps for those of us who want the smaller face watch but aren't slight of build. As ever customer choice for Apple translates to "what we say you want".

the colors seems kiddish but i see these colors are in now there are so many people going for these different colors these days!!!!

I just dont get apple here. The XR is the higher selling model and they dont sell cases for it. Apples cases are almost entirely profit for them. They sell $5 worth of case for $50. Why on earth arent they making cases for the XR?

Apple wants the Xr to be used in the wild without a case to show off the colours. It's just a marketing thing.

I see the person designing cases without protection for the bottom edge of the screen still hasn't been fired (JI?).

I don't use cases that lack edge protection.

The best case ever designed was the 5s leather case by Apple.

That was back before the JI had his thick fingers all over everything, back when Apple was still good.

AAPL never did offer a Silicone case for the XR, so I ended-up going with the Caudabe "The Sheath" in classic black, & consider it to be a real winner ! ... I highly recommend it.

BTW, I do believe AAPL had manufactured Silicone cases for the XR, but decided NOT to go to market with them at the last minute, simply because if the third-party case manufacturers didn't see any volume, that would have been a major tip off that the XR did NOT get off the ground, as many of us believe, me included.

NON of the so-called Pro Stock Analysts picked up on this.

Anybody with basic math skills can verify the XR success OR lack there of by comparing the # of Ratings of any of the major case manufacturers ... simply compare the XR to the cases for the other iPhones.

NOT Rocket Science !

You heard it here first !

Brilliant!

People wondering why the XR isn't getting cases. My guess is because the phone itself is coloured and designed to almost 'look' like a case. Maybe that's why????

Still would be profitable for Apple though.

The Nike colors are ugly and the others are too bright for the season (I live in Chicago). Besides, they’re way too similar to sport bands that have already been released. Still waiting for a dark green and a dark red. Not raspberry, not hibiscus, not rose. Dark red.

But that’s not reality. Most people will use a case. Now the XR will be covered in a variety of different cases making it look, from a distance, like any other smartphone. Maybe Apple need a lesson in marketing :)

Yeah, maybe they should/could have done 5C style cases (with holes); those looked funky.

Have you tried the 2nd generation of the (Product) RED sport band. It's quite a bit darker than the first gen and the darkest "pure red" we got, I think

If none of the Analysts picked up on that.. then the idea of your theory ".....a major tip off that xr does not sell good ...." is kind of irrelevant and a moot point.. isnt it?
Nobody pickedup on it so it had no effect. And Apple did that for no reason.....

None the less interesting thought... but there are more angles to this than just that and couple poster pointed out a couple of them here......

Im more leaning towards marketing and product identy for the reason.

Also i checked at Amazon . There isnt a huge difference between Xs Max And Xr. Xs Max has higher numbers .. and i expected that.. its a more expensive product and owners probably feel more nervous about their phone getting damaged.
As for Xs.. it about double.. and thats expected too.. since the cases for Xand Xs are the same.

Those look like kids Swatch bands. Not sure what self respecting adult would wear such cheap childish looking bands.

Those are perfect gym colors or summer colors. Either Way, variety is a good thing. Consumers like options that suit their preferences.

There's a lot of money to be made. Don't forget that people spend billions a year on unnecessary crap like screen protectors.

A Screen protector that protects your display from scratches, scuffs and damage is ‘unnecessary crap’? I think there would be millions of iPhone users that would disagree with your assertion. There is a lot of money to be made either way from watch bands as a direct accessory to the Watch, as a screen protector is for the iPhone.

I wonder why the lack of XR cases. Seems like an easy quick buck for Apple, without much effort, especially since the XR is the best selling model this year.
Maybe Apple doesn't want to hide the colours.
I certainly want to get a case for my XR it is as slippery as an eel.

Pacific Green is definitely not "green", maybe a slight greenish tint, maybe teal, but not "green".
I didn't realise it was supposed to be green.
The Apple colours look crap, the nike ones are ok.

I don't think I've had a screen protector since the 3GS and not had a problem with scratches, I guess it depends on where you keep your phone.

It’s amusing that the people lambasting Apple for not releasing an official Xr case are probably the people least likely to get one.
I might buy one if it was a slim transparent one that added grip.
But I have been burned by Apple cases in the past.
The leather one for the phone eventually fell to bits.
The leather one on the iPad fared better, but it has a flaw around the mute switch of being too thin, it has split for me under the leather and now the iPad can easily pop out because the case isn't so snug - I just have to be careful.
