There still are Apple Music users??? 😆 don’t sink so
Yeah man. It works great for me. All the music I ripped from CDs ages ago (some of which is absolutely not generally streamable) is available for me to stream right alongside the whole Apple Music catalogue as it's been uploaded from my Mac. The UI is good, the sound quality is good. I used Spotify for years and made the switch a year or so ago and haven't looked back. Any more questions?

Is society slowly clawing back from the celebrity obsession and worship or is it just my perception? I feel like this is about 15 years late to the party.

Soooo whats the point of this?
Now you’ll have a beautiful new website to remind you which celebrities you love and already know about vs the celebrities you don’t love or know about, because they won’t be featured on the website. It’s a perfect way to learn about the people you know a lot about without ever knowing them personally.

What is the purpose of this site? When you refresh, you expect random snapshots, but it just reloads the same content, and there are no 'next' or 'prev' buttons? This reminds me of the outdated trailers.apple.com, which hardly attracted visitors. Previously, they had a webpage where tickets could be purchased, but alternatives like Fandango and Regal are already available. This is really disappointing.

The scroll was so slow that I literally aged a whole year waiting to click on someone I liked.

Ugh... more Apple celebrity worship.. 🙄 it's so gross and cringey... and then the celebrities themselves complain about how aggressive and obsessive people become about them. What is it you want then?

Another innovative and exciting feature, that I, and I'm sure a lot of other people, will never use.

Apple keeps making services nobody asks for just to keep you trapped in their ecosystem. Look at their track record, they hype up features that barely anyone ends up using. Remember those awkward "Slofies"? Apple acted like slow-motion selfies would change our lives, but they disappeared because literally nobody needed them.
I have literally never heard of these, are they actually gone now? You're 100% right though, they're clutching at straws for new features instead of looking what's already out there and at least reaching parity with their competition.

Slofies was just a tongue-in-cheek name for promoting the introduction of the slomo feature for the front facing camera. And you still remember it. So it did work quite well, don’t you think?

And it hasn’t gone anywhere, it’s still there.
I forgot about it, and had to check what a slofie was!

Apple has truly lost its way. Stop cozying up to the celebs and start innovating again.

think Apple needs to have two versions of iOS—one for serious users and one for the kiddos.

Not everyone wants their device turned into a carousel of influencers and music videos. Some of us remember when Apple made tools that respected our time and let us control things—like adjusting slideshow speed with a turtle and rabbit icon instead of whatever this tap-and-guess system is now.

and chasing trends instead of refining what made their products great. Bring back usability, precision, and respect for the user. A ‘Pro Mode’ iOS—less fluff, more function—would show they still care about the people who actually use these tools to get real work done.

Looks like a bare bones website with links to Apple TV shows and Music. Doesn't do much now. Wonder whether it will improve in the future.

It’s for sure a good indication when something’s losing its way.

For example, The Simpsons started having more and more celeb-focused episodes during the period many people saw as its decline.

The “Lisa Goes Gaga” episode is just awful, possibly the worst of the entire series.

It’s low-quality material, easy to write and easy to make if you’ve got the funds to pay the celebs.

Yeah, they’re miles behind. It’s beyond embarrassing.

100%

Apple didn’t stopped everything to push this out
No but there was some opportunity cost. Some developer (and let’s face it it was a team, as someone said earlier in this discussion that things at Apple don’t take a mere couple of hours) spent time on this, they could have been directing to something else.
