Apple Launches Repair Program for Faulty MacBook and MacBook Pro Keyboards

They refused to take my 2016 macbook pro, saying that there's physical damage so it's not eligible for the repair program. I don't understand what this tiny damage has to do with keyboard.

I would call and try and escalate the issue, there's no way that should render you ineligible, and I've personally had repairs done under Apple's repair programs on machines with more unrelated damage!

I’ve heard stories like that in countries without real Apple Stores. The so-called AASPs simply don’t want to do such a warranty job.
Correct most are simply unaware that Apple service varies country to country when their is no AS nearby

I have even had AASP refuse service of any type, even if paid for, if you did not purchase from them

Move away from US/Europe and maybe AUS/HK/HG and although you have paid full price of Apple product, service and support can be 2nd rate at best, no return grace period etc etc for your premium product
