And yet Apple won't allow us to actually USE these in all manner of places where they would make sense.
For example you can't use them to tag Home.app Scenes, those only allow you to use a very small set of tags. Similarly for everything else in Home.app (eg devices or rooms).
Likewise you can't tag random things in Finder (as a way to override or augment icons that all look the same, eg a folder full of identical file types).

Every year Apple tells us how great SF Symbols is. And every year that greatness is basically irrelevant because essentially NO apps (including Apple's own apps) ever allow you to actually use the full range of SF Symbols for any of the purposes for which the symbols make sense...

SF symbols are for developers. Devs can use any SF symbol they want (except apple exclusive ones)
