Jonny, please go back to designing desks. Can they just work on making the watch thinner?

I understand you may hope that to be the caseBecause we shouldn’t fear catching a cold.
COVID-19 will be a distant memory soon enough. Then we can go back to coughing on each other.
Prevent. The key word is prevent. There is no way a watch can prevent a virus. Detect….yes. Prevent….no.Why would you think it’s not possible or worth looking into though? There will be advances in the future that will make things like this a reality.
Although not similar to what this article is talking about, the Apple Watch has prevented death or bad outcomes with its fall detection, location tracking, and ECG monitor. Technically it has already prevented some things from happening.
It isn’t “hope”. It’s science, gramps.I understand you may hope that to be the case
Detect early, isolate - prevent virus spreading and others catching it. That may actually end up being you or a loved one.Prevent. The key word is prevent. There is no way a watch can prevent a virus. Detect….yes. Prevent….no.

Nope. Now, my comment that was directed at someone else…is being taken out of context. Context matters.Detect early, isolate - prevent virus spreading and others catching it. That may actually end up being you or a loved one.

I thought you were going to say the crow appears on your wrist LoLI usually know I’m going to get sick when the sun turns blood red and a crow appears on my bedstead.
We’re all going to catch it. It’s just a matter of when and which mutation of the original virus that we catch that determines if it impacts us more than any other generic cold virus.Detect early, isolate - prevent virus spreading and others catching it. Well I hope you can become vaccinated soon. I’d give you my spot in line if I could as I have had Covid-19 and have no fear of catching it again. (Will vaccinate but in no particular rush to)Maybe in the US and only if you do not travel because in the rest of the world ... based on todays vaccination rate, I would be eligible for my first dose in September. However, since they are most likely stopping Astrazena and J&J vaccines for good soon, it might as well be 2022
That's what they want you to believe.
We have that. 😚👨🏼🔬Science is evidence based.
In time, there’s no reason to believe it’s not possible. We are still at the very beginning of time for computer technology, not at the middle or end of advancements.Prevent. The key word is prevent. There is no way a watch can prevent a virus. Detect….yes. Prevent….no.
I'm talking about the reality that we currently live in. Not about 50 years from now.In time, there’s no reason to believe it’s not possible. We are still at the very beginning of time for computer technology, not at the middle or end of advancements.
Still waiting for Covid-21 Pro Max.

My wife works at a family physician office. She mentioned to me that the # of flu cases during this 'flu season' have plummeted.Early detection of a virus could be very helpful in stopping it from spreading. People could be masking up before they are contagious now, or long into the future. All the social distancing and masking efforts has done a lot to stop covid 19 from spreading and also the seasonal flu had its 'worst' year at trying to spread.
Agreed, IMO, that is a more significant advancement (and I'm not even diabetic). I mean, seriously, how is the watch going to sniff out COVID?Where's my Glucose Monitor?
