Is itpossible to uninstall maps app?

Yes but then it loses a lot of built in functionality. In the EU you can select Google Maps as default. But since nobody in the US forces them to do what users want, they don't in the US. Which is absolutely galling.

Yeah, but I've almost entirely stopped buying new apps for my iPhone - partly because of this. Only visit the site to get to my account and ensure all existing apps are up-to-date.
No interest in wading thru ads to doom scroll through to an app / game / Arcade (never used, never will) feature.

I was like that for a long time until I discovered companies made it harder to do the things I need to do through a website. They're doing everything they can to get you to use their app these days. And when you get it, it's just like you said: doomscrolling and ads.

Oh right im in the eu ill look into this. Tbh never used apple maps and probably never will now. Whats the point of apple maps
