Yeah, that doesn't work. You need to compare tech stock growth post-pandemic to get a sense of current future facing growth. You went back 5 years! Which takes account time when these folks were still hitting their stride. Now, they are missing the mark. So....compare the past year among peers. There you will see the problem.

Don't be fooled by your data!
The question was why they hold their positions long-term. 1 year is not long-term.

Good to see Brian Tong is still around. I remember watching him many years ago. I believe he had an Internet show called Apple byte. I always enjoy watching his reviews and seeing him interview people!

Because they make tech products Apple’s 1 billion happy customers want to buy. Year after year after year. Apple manufacturing and selling 600,000+ iPhones per day is a great example.
Apple has been underperforming peers for a while now. So, that cuts against the argument.

Management changes are likely coming.

It’s not only these forums, it’s the entire culture of the internet. The name of the game is to viciously attack anything that comes your way. Nothing is worthwhile, nothing means anything, nothing is good enough, positivity is now considered a mental illness on the internet. The internet has become a cancer on humanity.
You are absolutely correct. It's as if more and more participants have some odd need to make negative comments, even if completely absurd and illogical. I participate in a few forums where discussion and disagreement is intelligent a reasonable. But most are like what has happened here and elsewhere. It's so sad and embarrassing to see it tolerated so enthusiastically. I'm so close to stopping reading the discussions. They really have become nothing burgers.

Love how they hype up live activities. Live Activities was the entire reason I purchased a 14Pro (due to mix of Live Activities and Always on Display) - the Live Activities never really caught on for the majority of the apps I use. Super disappointing.

brian asking the hard hitting questions like “why is the goggles so good” and “when will we be allowed to marry siri, legally”

I'm glad to see Anand out there again! I'm not sure if the new generation even knows what a big deal he was to deep hardware reviews back in the day, Anandtech still carries its prestige because of it. I always wonder what he wishes he could write about from inside Apple.

Still wish someone would confront them on software QA and the general business of the last many years, but I'm sure the questions are all agreed upon and have to keep it light to get one of these things.

As you can tell from my signature there's very little I buy. Both are very old designs from when they actually made decent stuff.

(For those that can't see the signature, I only have a Gen 1 HomePod and iPhone SE 2022.)
So why are you here? To troll ?

I honestly tired to watch the little ad, but it was laced with some word vomit corporate speak self brown nosing nonsense. I felt I was being talked down to, gaslit, and listening to narcissists ramble on.

Don’t waste your time everyone; not real journalism, not tough questions, nothing productive really.
just another YouTube fan boy happy to be at Apple Park, asking what we already know about Apple product.
Because of it, i left dumbs down; THAT’S A BAD APPLE.

Here's the thing.

You already know the answer to the questions you want to ask Apple. So why ask the them at all when you know the answer?

Holy hell, the sentiment and tone in these forums is sliding far and fast…

When Apple increases the RAM for base configuration of Macs:

Member 1: They should have done it 3 years ago.
Member 2: They should have done it 5 years ago.
Member 3: Pure greed from Apple why they didn't do it before.
Member 4: I had 32Gb of RAM in my Dell back in 2010.
Member 5: Android phones has more RAM than MacBooks.

And they love developers, even multi-billion dollar revenue developers, unless they do subscriptions. Then the developers become greedy and evil.

Two of them aren't even tech companies when it comes to the stock market.

All four of these companies are very different and certainly not peers with the exception of maybe Meta and Alphabet.

Honestly, I tried to listen for a few minutes but my mind drifted off to that wonderful Californian weather. I'm just sat here pining for some sunshine.. I need a holiday. And how many tons of bark chips did they need for that entire Park!
That place fascinates me.

edit: okay the sudden appearance of Anand Shimpi has piqued my interest again. Been wondering what he's been up to since leaving AnandTech!

And I gotta give it to Joz, the man is a killer marketer on the video topic. Even I was excited. Just a shame Apple photos aren't at the same level and have this weird painterly effect all over them.
