Indonesia with 275 million of people had google assistant support years ago. Siri hasn’t been a available since 2011. What a pain.

Apple is hiring Siri Annotation Analysts with fluency in a number of languages that are not currently supported by the voice assistant, suggesting that a major expansion of Siri's availability is in the works.

Apple's office in Cork, Ireland is hiring people fluent in Ukrainian, Hungarian, Slovak, Czech, Croatian, Greek, Flemish, Romanian, and as ThinkApple points out, Polish. Apple is also hiring people fluent in Indonesian and Vietnamese out of a Singapore office.

As described in job listings, Annotation Analysts that work for Apple listen to and transcribe snippets of Siri conversations to evaluate Siri's responses. These kinds of Siri evaluations were previously done by third-party contracting companies but Apple brought the work in-house following a mid-2019 uproar over the way Apple used Siri recordings for evaluation with little notice to customers. Apple overhauled its Siri grading program and added options for customers to both opt out of having their Siri recordings used for product improvement and to delete already collected Siri recordings.

Apple does not support Siri in the languages that it is hiring for, which indicates Siri may be coming to new countries in the not too distant future. If Siri is gaining additional language support, those languages could also be added to the Translate app that was released in iOS 14.

Siri is currently in more than 37 countries, with a list available on Apple's website. The languages that work with the Translate app are more limited and include Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

Not spanish, spanish is working already. The language that will be included is Catalan/Valencian (a regional one).

Expanding more languages support is good Apple, but one of those country still doesn’t have Apple Store. How about slowly opening store instead for more convenience and provide supports.

Currently most of device are stock config from reseller, no 14 days Apple return policy, no proper support. To get BTO model flying to other states is only solution.

Good, but it still annoys me a lot that I haven't been able to use Siri on the Apple TV for years even though I'm English speaking, but I live in Switzerland. Even a basic feature such as "what did they say", to rewind for a few secs.

Still waiting for Siri in Portuguese from Portugal (or european portuguese - if that’s easier for feeble minded people) since 2011. 9 years and counting...

Finally, we'll get to know what "Here's what I found on the web for - Siri why are you so stupid?" sounds like in even more languages and accents! 🙂

Is it me or Siri is a little more helpful that it's dumb and dumber versions on iOS 13 and older.
First assistant to go on the market yet it's the worst because of privacy concerns. Google assistant is way ahead, it's crazy how better it is; I couldn't believe there was that much of a gap when I first tried it

Siri in iOS 14 seams to have a hearing problem, I have to raise my voice for it to respond. :(
Are you yelling at Siri... I’m not sure if that might trigger a violent behaviour... well at least your Siri hears you... I try calling Siri through the AirPods and she stop talking to me.

Thank-you Apple. I really need Polish for CarPlay - especially for message dictation.
Three ayers and nothing happened. The car play in Czech (or Polish) is really disaster 😤 Not only impossibility to diktate message (iven if Apple has the possibility to dictate messages in those languages, but Siri not. And similar if Siri tries to read a message that is obviously in Czech (or Polish) languag. It's not even funny. It's a crying shame 😩 Even though Apple has the ability to read texts in those langueges. So why Siri is still not able to read them in correct language? It is not undestandable for me 🤷‍♂️ Really in Apple they are not able to count 1+1? Or they just shi... on us who speak those langeuages? I thing with Steve all the creativity and all the desire to push things forward died in apple ⚰️🥺

I use Carplay a lot. It's a dam shame that Apple after all these years hasn't added Siri in Polish. Google has done it... Well eventually the technology will plateau and all the Android Manufacturers will catch up to Apple and it will be easier to switch to Android. Unfortunately Apple is still the best.
