Most of the TV catchup services in the UK still use flash

I uninstalled Flash in the early 2010's. If a site required it, they did not get my business. Today, if I ever come across a site that requires Flash, then two possibilities come to mind: (a) the site is compromised and is trying to push fake Flash Player malware or (b) the site is obsolete.

I was very surprised to find that Comcast Xfinity (the biggest cable provider in the US) requires flash to watch their programming via a web browser.

This is an important question and I hope to read other's suggestions. For those of us in Higher Education, most of our ancillary material is Flash Based. So far few publishers have any alternative formats to offer.
For material that's essential for your classes, I would contact the associated publishers and ask them how they'll be addressing the discontinuation of Flash. That should help facilitate your planning for 2021.

I thought they already did, but good riddance.
It may not be something you use, but my photo editing software which I use daily requires Flash Player until the end of the year. I updated my Safari to Version 14.0 (14610.1.28.1.9) and no longer can get my Flash Player to work. I'm dead meat until I can find a software comparable to the one that needs Flash. Meanwhile, I have jobs backing up. I need to get my Safari back to the older version so I can use Flash. Any suggestions anyone?

If you want direct attention to this, I'd recommend posting your question as a separate thread either here on macrumors (in the appropriate subforum), or on apple.stackexchange.com, discussions.apple.com, or community.adobe.com.

When you do this, you should specify exactly what photo editing software you are using, since you might find someone who has encountered and solved the exact same issue.

Though I am curious: Why would your photo editing software be affected by your available browser plug-ins? If it's b/c it is cloud-based, then have you considered seeing whether you can still use Flash in Chrome or Firefox?

Time machine backup?

I was pleasantly surprised (no fanfare at all) to see that the Citibank Virtual Credit Card tool has dumped Flash. I was afraid that it would be sent out to pasture with the demise of Flash, not to mention the rise of competing online payment options. But it hasn’t been, and now it works on iOS. There’s still websites out there that don’t take PayPal or AmazonPay, let alone ApplePay.
