NOOOOOOOOO Sold my tower!!! Computerless now… was hoping they would come sooner… very hard not to have a computer after 32 years on the Mac…

Only an iPhone now… Mac Mini Pro for me… around $2000…

Not waiting for M5 lol 😂 2 months without a computer is too much… the M4 should Double the speed of my 2019 Mac Tower…

I seriously may have to get an M2 mini to ‘hold me over’ while waiting for the M4 - we’ll see - one time at four in the morning breakdown and get it for $499… seems like a waste… with the M4 SO Close… but then I could use the mini for other automated tasks at home also…

Did Mac rumors get it wrong?? I read that the M4 Macs are shipping now.. and pro in October… we could see them at the September 9 event!

You’re giving me anxiety 😆

I hope it comes out in November so I can save up enough money to buy an MBP M4 at launch and finally replace my MBP 2017.

This doesn't prove anything about the source for this article. It's more likely a higher-up at Apple setting release schedule expectations, which Apple have done many times through leaks to the press. There is no reason to believe it's Gurman.
Of course there is no proof. It was a tongue in cheek comment about Gurman. Prove it wasn’t.

However, saying it’s "more likely an Apple deliberate leak" is far less likely, and totally ridiculous. Of course you have no proof so I won’t ask you for it. But I will ask you, what has Apple got to gain by suggesting faster Macs are coming this year? Lack of sales 😂. Seriously 🙄

And besides all of this BS, who actually cares? We'll find out when they are actually released. We can’t buy any until then.

Yeah, getting new MBP Max every year now, just like the iPhones Pro.
With I would have that flux capacitor go check the M15 in 2035.
Great Scott that processor will need 1.21 Gigawatts for sure!
1.21 GW could power a small city. I think it's going to be a while before humans are evolved and self-contained enough to the degree we can be using a computer omitting the kind of EMF this would ⚡️😅

Clearly you don't care. So obvious.

Never mind that, the waste heat would basically kill you instantly, followed by turning your domicile into ash.

Apple will likely announce new Mac models with M4-series chips in November, confidential information obtained by MacRumors claims.

November? They are taking their sweet time considering the M4 has been ready for quite some time unless they are quite improving upon the M4 Silicon that was added to the Ipad PRO ....

November seems a bit late unless it's immediate availability. Interested to see what's max RAM on a M4 Max MacBook Pro. Hoping for 128GB. A stretch would be 192GB?
It is now on the Package, not sure how easy it would be to add to add such a big amount.

Perhaps it would be time to have two tier of memory, the one on the package and then a second level on the motherboard? (Tim's police will put it in jain for this but ..... Maybe user upgradable?)

Given the m4 is cheaper to make than the m3 chip i wouldn't be so sure on that.
Apple likely already has the orders in the pipeline for the M3’s so even if the M4 is cheaper they’re already committed to a certain amount so it makes no sense to dump those.

New Macs in the autumn generally come just after back to school ends. Not too difficult to surmise November as a result.

They have 96GB Unified RAM already for M3 Max. 128GB shouldn't be hard. The RAM is the only thing that's impossible to upgrade.

The SSD problem can be fixed by hanging something off a Thunderbolt 4 port. No need to pay for 8TB.

They need you to get a couple of pay checks in after buying the iPhone 16 first.

That’s the way businesses work.

That’d be like slapping a diesel engine on a Formula E car.
