Apple logo on the lid isn't fading out when the lid is closed?

It never even noticed this.

I don't see it really being an issue.

A smooth fade down means more time the screen is on AKA more battery used.

I'd rather an abrupt cut-off.

Exactly how much more battery would be used? As in, how many minutes of runtime would you be likely to lose?

It's happening again! Catalina fades out, High Sierra cuts out.
