What phone do you use?

BlackBerry

Why don't you want to upgrade to iPhone?

Cost

Would you ever consider it?

Definitely, just can not justify spending around £500 a year on a contract, as a student don't have tons of funds available, and 2 years of paying for an iPhone and I could buy a new Mac, and I'd rather have a new Mac.

What Apple products do you own?

2011 MacBook Air, 2010 iMac, iPad, iPod touch's, AirPort, Apple TV....

What phone do you use?

Nokia Lumia 800

Why don't you want to upgrade to iPhone?

I upgraded from an iPhone to the Lumia :)

Would you ever consider it?

I have had 3 iPhones and am bored of them.

What Apple products do you own?

Virtually all of them - people were surprised when I ditched the iPhone.

1. What phone do you use?

Samsung Galaxy S2.

2. Why don't you want to upgrade to iPhone?

I "upgraded" from an iPhone to my Samsung Galaxy S2. ;) iOS already feels dated, and quite frankly, it's not very good. iOS is definitely easier to use than Android, but it's not "good" to use. This is even more true of the iPad, since you're expected to do more with an iPad, and yet it's so poor at letting people do things quickly, or do multiple things at once. Then again, I think Android on tablets isn't good, either.

3. Would you ever consider it?

Definitely, but i'm more likely to get something else unless Apple gives us a proper update. The iPhone 4S doesn't impress.

I'd consider Android again since that's what I'm using, but would strongly consider a Windows phone.

I'd also consider a future Blackberry touchscreen phone, but only if the new OS is good. I've never had a BB phone before, but I have a PlayBook, and its OS is truly outstanding. It doesn't slow you down like iOS does.

4. What Apple products do you own?

I currently own an 11" MBA and an iPod Shuffle, but I've had MBPs, MB, PowerBooks, all sorts of iPods, and an iPhone.

I own an iPhone 3G

...Talk about painfully slow.

Bless it's little heart, I bought it when it first came out, I treated myself. But to be brutally honest, I will never buy an iPhone again. Why?

Because they are ridiculously overpriced compared to what an iPod Touch can do. I'm swapping my 3G in for a 4th gen iPod Touch on Monday and it will be a slap in the face to say the least.

But, I will NEVER go Android either. I own a pretty decent Android tablet and hate the thing. I barely ever use it, my family use it all the time but I cannot get my head around the thing. Android seems so unfinished, granted it's running 2.2 but still...

So what will I use as my mobile phone?

...I'm getting a Nokia N-Gage.

I have an iPhone 4S. But I just wanted to say this has been an interesting thread & some very good comments. I've heavily considered moving o.....an android phone. But if I do t would only be to a "pure" android experience, such as the galaxy nexus. I think apple has the tablet market locked down for now, but they really need to refresh the iPhone. We'll see what the next iteration brings.

What phone do you use?

Samsung Infuse

Why don't you want to upgrade to iPhone?

I think I do now. Android is rubbish. I'm tired of pantsing around with my flipping phone!

Would you ever consider it?

Yes. I went with Samsung because I like having the SD card option & I dislike the closed media environment Apple is promoting.

ZTE Skate (Android)

Why don't you want to upgrade to iPhone?
I love Android.
- Tethering through wifi
- Larger screen
- Better GPS functionalities
- More open platform (not tied to the App Store or Itunes)
- Much more productive when using emails with Gmail

Would you ever consider it?
I had an iphone 3GS in the past. So I know both of worlds and I am not ready to come back unless they fix all the points above.

What Apple products do you own?
MBP, iPod, iMac and many others

Love means you forgive their mistakes and disregard, or not even notice, all the bad things.
With that I've never "loved" Apple, I just but their machines because I want a simple tech life. Their lawsuits, T&C and general attitude sometimes leaves a lot to be desired.

Before I had an iPhone I used a Motorolla Razr and I still think its one of the best phones I have ever used. Used it for 5 years. I didn't really need a full featured phone back then and I appreciated it's size, build and sound quality. If work didn't call for an iPhone I'd still have the Razr.

And now I'm tied to iOS due to the app environment. Got loads of games and apps that, if I switch to android I'd wouldn't be able to carry over. Also I do like how well integrated with osx it is.
