Not the prettiest but I see the new Panasonic W5 comes in a range of colours, has an OK spec and 12hr battery life!
This is what the iBook/MacBook has to beat.

Could do with a screen catch too.stuartluff said:Erm... what the hell kind of iBook has a 1" screen bevel and rounded base?
The isight camera is great & the photobooth app is great. The camera is great.netdog said:There won't be a screen catch on the new iBook. It will have a magnet to keep the lid shut.
I had nothing to do with the picture I posted, but frankly I think it is leaps and bounds better than the current drab two-tone white and grey iBook. They never should have messed with the original white G3 (post-clamshell) case. Anyway, I think that the artist was trying to echo the style of the iPod, a choice that makes sense across their consumer products. I think it's a big improvement. I can't understand why people want is a squared off box, but to each their own. Beauty is in the eye of...
To me, the MBP couldn't be more dull and lifeless than it is, and the current iBook is even worse. This rendering has a serenity and simplicity to it that is lovely, without being sterile like the squared off, industrial looking current iBook.
Do you really like the iSight for Photobooth? I think the camera quality is wretched, and I don't know anybody who uses it. Frankly, I think its presence cheapens the beauty of my iMac, and I am glad that this artist omitted it. For those of you that hate this, you need not worry. I doubt that the next iBook will either look anything like this or, unfortunately, bear the moniker "iBook".
Now I'm just nit-picking but it also needs those little rubber feet to stop the keys hitting the screen when closed.stuartluff said:Erm... what the hell kind of iBook has a 1" screen bevel and rounded base?
