It did. But when I see what they came up with in the first generation and compare it to what we have now, I can't help noticing that there's hardly any progress. It feels like they've implemented an early vision of Steve and since then just refine a bit here and there but never actually think what this device (software/UI) could be capable of with six more years of technology under the hood.

Still a great device though. But that hockey puck has been left at the face-off spot ever since it was put there.
No way. The Apple Watch is IMPORTANT at Apple. Like most Apple devices, every year it adds at least one killer feature.

I believe that the Watch is to Health and Fitness what the iPod was to Music consumption and what the iPhone was to cellphones (although admittedly to a MUCH lesser impact than those two devices). Similar, single-function devices existed before it, but Apple's take on one changed the game.

We're seeing legit Dick Tracy tech in these devices, and Apple will only continue to refine and expand that device's capabilities. And the fact that it integrates like it does into the ecosystem makes it a surprisingly valuable asset in Apple's arsenal. There's a reason Apple is pushing the Health app, the Fitness+ service, GPS and Cellular connectivity, etc.

As I get older, the Watch becomes more and more attractive. And the active youth of today can see the appeal immediately.

The iPhone, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, and even AirTags combo is a knockout for almost everyone, no Mac required.

The Post-PC era really is here, and that's where the puck ended up. Sorry Mac fans, but it is what it is.

Thats some pop when he said I am dropping the "i" in iCEO . The funny thing he didn't do much by then but people for some reason believed a lot in him and welcomed him back although he left Apple like way back in the 80s and I have no idea what made them think lets go back to him to be CEO after they literally let him go. I don't know how big he was, but I think before coming back to Apple he wasn't much known then.

Can you imagine when they do a video like this about Tim Cook? It will be filled with memorable emojis announcements for iOS /jk

Don't celebrate Steve, instead keep his legacy alive by making great products keeping your users in mind, not your shareholders.

unfortunately, all businesses has 1 aim and that is to make money for their shareholders. Everything else comes second. Steve got away with it because Apple was failing so they might as well let him do whatever he was going to do so long as it will make them money. They did not question him, with Cook whatever he does he will be brought to the table and be questioned why are they not making even MORE money

If he never came back to Apple he would if be famous for Pixar. He bought that with some of the money he received from Apple upon leaving.

You have no idea what you're talking about, so why even write a comment.
