Was really hoping this would have fixed the bug that prevents precision finding from working when not connected to cellular.

I've got 2 out of 4 updated. One is not with me currently and the other is with the wife, I'll check hers when she returns home.

No update here 😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙

Human sacrifice might help. Unless you've tried it already. It worked for me.

(Just kidding!!! No humans were harmed to get mine to update, but nice to know they stopped throttling the update! WTH? And people have been waiting, many impatiently, for the update! I hate waiting for updates)

I have 1.0.291 too. No is not the same thing. We have to wait

I hope we are just confusing 'build number', with 'version number'. I think that all Apple software has two 'numbers'. I can't see a point where an increment of a build number wouldn't also increment the version number, but I suppose it could happen. Microsoft does the same thing. I'd believe that having the two 'numbers' is common in the industry.

I would assume that the build number with 291 in it is the version ending in 291.

The right number is. 1A291f

And I have not been able to see a build number from the 'Find My' app. Is there some secret way to see the build number, and why should anyone care. The updates seem like CYA big fixes. It's not like an update can be all that ground breaking, earth shaking.

Read the article again. Toward the bottom a link is provided with instructions on how to see the build number.

The article in the top of this post? Okay, YOU point to where it says to show the build number because I can't find it. I even searched the first page of this entire thread for the word 'build', and came up with nothing...

EDIT: According to AppleInsider, there is no way to see the build number through the 'Find My' app.

OOPS! My bad. Got the two mixed up. Sorry

Newest .291 updated on 3 of my tags and STILL dreaded 100% find my app use in middle of night when phone is close to AirTags. I think I may need to see if ios15 does anything to help with battery drain on iPhone while being close to these AirTags. I just removed them all, yet again, so it won't drain my 12PM's battery. Seems like no one actually checks for quality anymore at apple.
How are you checking this? If I look in Battery Usage by App my Find My is 4% 24 Hrs, 3% 10 days. You're seeing it at 100% or is there someplace else you're getting the reading on? FWIW, I am on iOS 15 19A344
