The Apple Maps app appears to be experiencing issues at the current time, with Apple's System Status page listing an outage. According to Apple, users are seeing problems with Maps Display, Maps Routing and Navigation, Maps Search, and Maps Traffic.

Apple Maps is not able to display traffic conditions at the current time, and search and routing are unreliable for some users. Apple says that the outage began at 1:00 Eastern Time, so if you are having trouble with Apple Maps, you are not alone.

There is no word on when the Maps outage will be fixed, but we'll update this article when Apple addresses the issue.

Update 2:00 p.m. ET: Apple says the outage has been resolved.

Weird, not having any issues on my Mac, unless it is an iPhone thing (Ventura 13.0 Beta 11)

Edit, also not having them on my iPad.

Maybe Apple doesn’t want you to visit the theme parks and get on the roller coaster? I wonder if that has to do with anything… 🎢
I thought this exact same thing. Glad I have both Apple Maps and Google Maps on my phone. If you are lost with only Apple Maps - GOOD LUCK!

If only Apple Maps let you cache offline maps like Google Maps - ya know, for cases like this.....

It's already resolved per their status page (the Maps part), but Apple Card is in yellow "issue" status still.

EDIT: nope, Maps flipped back to red lmao. It's on a yo-yo!

Perfect timing as I was shuttling some out-of-town guests around some landmarks in an unfamiliar part of town. Car Play just blanked out the screen. OEM nav fortunately had no such issues.

And to think I drove a delivery truck all around the Chicago area successfully, pre GPS. Now I can barely get out of my driveway without mapping an e-route.

Gadget addiction is a thing, kids. Use your brain instead.

How am I going to find my way around again?

Oh yeah Street signs and asking people.
I'm gonna have to ask you to turn in your Guy Card for this infraction. A guy would wander around aimlessly, rather than ask for directions.😁 My generation at least.
I’m going old school.
🙃Hail yeah! Just a compass and the stars, amirite?🙃

The best thing about these map apps is they show current traffic conditions. That's basically what I use them for. I'm old school that I find it easier to navigate by paper maps and find turn by turn directions annoying. Oi! I've got Wagner cranked up (to drown out the rattling noise coming from the old car😓), can't hear a thing the GPS is saying.😁

Streets are far more complex and busy these days. The gadgets are needed to maintain sanity.
